Adjusting the Argon Flows

Rev. 1

Required equipment:

- Flowmeter (OI flowmeter p/n: 5200000045)

- Small slow screwdriver
- Tape

Warnings and safety instructions:

This instruction may only be carried out by persons trained and authorised in maintaining
and repairing the device by Oxford Instruments Analytical GmbH.

Prolog:

We recommend to check and to adjust the argon flows on the UV-Pro at each maintenance.

Moreover, this procedure should be performed if any changes have been done on the argon block
of the UV-Pro e.g. exchange of a solenoid valve.

Note! This argon flows are only valid for UV-Pros with serial numbers beginning from
48P0163 & 56Q0001.
Adjusting the Argon Flows

Adjusting Analytical Flows

 Start the WasLab in Level 5

 Run the TestControls Tool in the WasLab (Utilities – Service – TestControls)

 Adjust the input pressure to 3 Bar.

 Connect the corresponding flowmeter (see Tab. 1-1) to the exhaust of the probe
and close the spark hole with a piece of tape (see Fig. 1-1).

Fig. 1-1

 Use a slit screw driver to adjust the flows on the corresponding valve (see Fig. 1-3)

Scale Division
