‘’UNDERSTANDING THE IMPORTANCE OF TEXT IN

OUR DAILY LIVES’’
A text is a book or other written or printed work. There are main types of text,
these are Narrative, Descriptive, Directing, and Argumentative text. It is also a
passage of words that conveys a set of meanings to the person who is
reading. Moreover, it’s a body of written work, in various forms and
structures,that can be words, phrases and sentences that piece together a
passage of written works. So, What is the importance of text and How we can
use it properly in our daily lives?

A text plays a significant role in our everyday lives, It serves as a primary

conduit for communication, which enables us to express our thoughts, ideas,
and emotion to others. Whether it’s through a simple text message to a friend,
a formal email to a colleague, or a heartfelt letter to a loved one,text allows us
to connect with people across distances and time zones. Furthermore, text is
a backbone of education and learning. It equips us with knowledge, enriches
our understanding of the world, and stimulates our critical thinking. From
textbooks to scholarly articles, the written word fosters our intellectual growth
and broadens our horizons. Moreover, we are now in the modern
generations,the digital age or it is also called as ‘’Generation Z’’, that’s why,
text has taken on new dimensions. Social media posts, blog articles,and
online news stories shape our perceptions and influence our decisions. They
inform us about global events, societal issues, and technological
advancements, keeping us engaged and informed. Lastly, the constant
pounding of information can lead to information overload, causing stress and
confusion. Additionally, the tone and context can sometimes be misinterpreted
in written communication, leading to misunderstandings.

In conclusion, text is an effective instrument that has big impact on our daily
life. It is necessary for professionalism, expression, education, and
communication. Our environment is full of text, so it’s important that we use
and understand it appropriately as we navigate it. Moreover, a text is
undeniably one of the most powerful and essential tool that we use in our
daily life as a human being. Because, it serves as a bridge in connecting
people, ideas, and cultures. It allows us also to express ourselves, share our
own experiences, and we might also engage to the world around us. Lastly,
let us strive to use text as a force for good, fostering a positive
communication, promote understanding and learning because, that’s our
biggest responsibility to use it correctly and ethically.
