Start the class with a Warm Up activity:
Arrange the cards
• Photocopy two sets of flashcards of words Ss have already been presented with (Module 5 and
Module 6).
• Divide Ss into two teams and ask one S from each team to come to the board. Give each of the
two Ss a set of flashcards.
• Explain that you are going to name some of the flashcards one by one and the Ss at the board
have to find and arrange the flashcards in the order they hear them being called out.
• Name up to five flashcards each time.
• The 5 that arranges them correctly first, wins a point for his/ her team.
• Continue the game until all of the Ss on both teams have had a chance to go up to the board.
• The team with the most points by the end of the game, wins.

Move to Activity 1:
• Have Ss open their books to page 71.
• Direct Ss' attention to activity 1 and ask them to tell you what they see. (A fridge with some
food and drinks in it.)
• Ask Ss to look at the fridge and name as many food i~ems/drinks as they can.
• Explain to Ss that they will have to read the questions next to the picture and write one-word
answers, according to what is shown in the picture.
• Read the example provided and instruct Ss to answer the rest of the questions in a similar way.
• Go round the classroom and make sure Ss have answered correctly.
Then move to activity 2:
Direct Ss' attention to activity 2 and ask them to look at the picture and elicit what it depicts. (It's
a picture of a kitchen. There's some food, drinks and cutlery on the table and in the fridge .)
• Ask Ss to name the food, drinks and cutlery (cherries, strawberries, pepper, sugar, spoon, knife,
orange juice).
• Direct Ss' attention to the bottom of the page, where there is more food, drinks and cutlery. Ask
Ss to name them (chicken, pineapple, milk, salt, fork).
Activity 3:
• Direct Ss' attention to the calendar in activity 3.
• Exp lain to Ss that they hove to look at the calendar and find out what is wrong. (March, Moy,
September and October are not in the correct order).
• Point out to Ss that they will then have to mark their birthday on the calendar, write it in the
