Position/Date: Instrument Technician (February 2020 - April 2021)

Employer: AOS ORWELL LIMITED

Scope: Valve and actuator overhaul and accessories change-out.

Projects:

NLNG Bonny Train 1, 6 and 4 Shutdown Maintenance. (i) Carried out as-found performance / function
test on the ball and control valves, including actuators. (ii) Identification and tagging of all valve

instruments/accessories. (iii) Carried out visual integrity inspection on valves received in the work

station. (iv) Stripped down the valves for visual integrity inspection on the inner body, hard and soft

kits. (v) Overhauling of ball, globe, gate and butterfly valves with new spare kits. (vi) Calibration/bench

setting of control valves and actuated angle valves in line with OEM specification. (vii) Conducting of
functionality test on the various sizes of valves (1”–42”) that was overhauled. (viii) Carried out

pneumatic body test on the valves with the use of Digital test bench (VENTIL) in line with

OEM/API/ANSI FCI 70-2 specifications. (ix) Carried out low pressure closure test with the use of

Digital test bench (VENTIL) in line with the API 598 standard.
