Project Title: MANYAMAN SASMUAN (TRADE FAIR)

Date: December 11-13, 2021

RATIONALE:

Sasmuan recognized in the Province as one of the longest celebration of festivities that starts at
December 4 as the opening of the Kuraldal & Christmas season until January 10 as the
culminating event of Sasmuan. Festivities always matched with foods and lifestyles that make
the event merrier. Another is the influx of tourist in the municipality will increase making a
good opportunity to showcase our local products.

Record shows that annually there is an increase in number of tourist (devotees) base on the
data submitted by the Police Tourism Desk, Sta. Lucia Parish Church, and Barangay Sta. Lucia
with these data Sasmuan Arts and Culture Tourism Office (SACTO) came up with the concept of
showcasing all delicious, rich, and beautiful, that our town can offer.

To showcase all of these we came up in the concept of “MANYAMAN SASMUAN” that has a lot of
meaning (e.g. it is good living in Sasmuan, delicious food, culture). We will gather all of these
through our local products in a way we can established a trade hub for our visitors this coming
festival season.

GOAL:

Our goal is to help all our SME’s in selling our local products by showcasing through a trade
fair.

1. To promote our tourism products
2. To help our local community in their industries
3. To showcase everything good “MANYAMAN” of our town

ACTIVITY DESIGN

Project Title: SELEBRASYON NG PASASALAMAT SA GITNA NG PANDEMYA

(A Virtual Celebration for Town Fiesta 2021)

RATIONALE:

Sasmuan Heritage was fast disappearing in this time of pandemic and there was also a lack of
local cultural and historical awareness among the citizens. Few knew of our history and that
many of the local personages made contributions which changed the face of the entire
municipality. There was a need to strengthen our culture and traditions.

But how we can achieve our goal when major events around the nation have been canceled or
postponed as the race to contain the novel corona virus continues. The cultural sector -- with
its numerous fairs, shows and festivals -- has also been significantly impacted..

But quarantine doesn’t mean isolation and social distancing is forcing us to use the
internet as it was intended — to connect with one another. As creative’s continue to inspire
us the possibilities of ‘living online’ prove that staying at home can be as opportunistic as going
outdoors. The Sasmuan Arts Culture and Tourism Office are finding ways to open the doors to
cultural awareness through virtual ads, live-streamed performances, and Online contest
these events — many of which are being offered for free in place of the annual feast day
celebration of our town. So as they practice social distancing, here are some ways they can
explore arts and culture from the comfort of their own home.

GOAL:
Our main goal is to involve the young generations and netizens in the promotion of our local
culture and heritage through online advertisement and competitions that will create awareness
to the locals, to young students in different public and private schools to senior citizens may
stock firmly in their mind the culture and heritage preserved as a legacy for all.

OBJECTIVE:
The objective of this project is also to educate the netizens and connect the community in an
immediate, modern intangible way, and increases a sense of pride among the local communities
and can educate about history making both more accessible to people of all ages and
backgrounds.
