(Students will answer)
“Very good class!”

The impacts of climate change on different sectors of society are interrelated.

Drought can harm food production and human health. Flooding can lead to disease
spread and damages to ecosystems and infrastructure. Human health issues can
increase mortality, impact food availability, and limit worker productivity
Lesson Proper :

Climate change impacts are seen throughout every aspect of the world we live in.
However, climate change impacts are uneven across the country and the world even
within a single community, climate change impacts can differ between
neighborhoods or individuals. Long-standing socioeconomic inequities can make
(Students will listen)
underserved groups, who often have the highest exposure to hazards and the fewest
resources to respond, more vulnerable.

“What things can we do to help in minimizing the effects of climate change ?”

(Students will answer)

“Correct class!”

1. Eat a climate-friendly diet: Consuming less beef and lamb can improve the
environmental impact of our diet. A small number of people shifting towards plant-
based options can have a significant effect on what supermarkets offer. It's also
important to reduce food waste. If food waste were a country, it would be the third
largest emitter of greenhouse gases after China and the USA.

2. Power up: Greening your pension is 21 times more effective at reducing your
carbon footprint than giving up flying, becoming vegetarian, and switching energy
provider combined. Responsible investment can unleash immense financial potential
for climate solutions.

3. Green your money: The wealthiest 1% of the global population emitted more than
twice the carbon emissions of the poorest half of the world between 1990 and 2015.
Therefore, it's crucial to check your bank, pension, or energy provider's credentials
and see if they align with your own values.
(Students will listen )

4. Get sharing: Every item we buy has an impact on the environment, during its
manufacture, transportation, use, and disposal. One way to mitigate this impact is
by choosing vintage, preloved, and second-hand items – or by sharing. Lending
libraries and share sheds are treasure troves for niche items you’ll only use once in a
while.

5. Travel light: The transport sector is responsible for nearly a quarter of energy-
related CO2 emissions. Opting for public transport, cycling, walking, or car-sharing
can significantly reduce your carbon footprint. Electric cars and hybrids are also a
great option if you need to drive.

Application:

Activity 1. “Defend me!”

Materials needed: Coloring materials , Cartolina ,Pencil

,Scissors ,and Long bondpapers

Group the students into 4

“Make a poster slogan that’s shows how to fight against climate change”

Each group will have their representative to present their answers.

The more they got a highest scores will win!

“Job Well done class!”

Generalization :

1. How would you express your opinion relating to the effects of climate change?

2. What dominant feelings will you feel towards the affected areas/communities of (Students answer maybe vary)
