Neoclassicism came from two words Neos which means NEW and classicus which means CLASSIC.
NEOCLASSICISM refer to the period in which Greek and Roman principles and styles were reflected in society.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION
FESTIVAL DANCE refers to a cultural dance performed to the strong beats of percussive instruments by a
community of people sharing the same culture usually done in honor of a patron saint or in thanksgiving
of a bountiful harvest.
Why is festival dancing an excellent way to reduce or maintain one’s weight?
-It burns desired number of calories stored in the body depending on the intensity of the activity

The positions and formations are essential in dancing because It enhances the movements.
FIRST POSITION - In the fundamentals of arms and feet, what position will you be executing if both of your
arms are in front at navel in a circular position with the heels of the feet together and toe 45 degrees apart.
SECOND POSITION – Both arms are in both side and shoulder level and feet apart in stride position.
THIRD POSITION -In the fundamentals of arms and feet, will be executing if both of you place one arm on your
side at shoulder level and raise the other arm overhead with the heel of the foot placed beside the in-
step of the other foot.
FIFTH POSITION – both arms are above the head.
HEART DISEASES could be a result of sedentary life.
HEALTH
FIRST AID the immediate and temporary care given to an injured person before the arrival of the physician.
it is the care given immediately to an injured or ill person. It includes self-help and home care if medical
assistance is not available or delayed.
NOT an objective of first aid- To bridge the gap between the victim and physician.
Why is it important to follow proper techniques and procedures in giving first aid? - So that it can alleviate pain
and save lives
THE VITAL SIGNS ARE:
Blood pressure , Pulse Rate, and Blood sugar
What should be the first thing to do in assessing an emergency -Survey if the scene is safe
DRESSING is a sterile cloth should you use to cover the wound.
TRIANGULAR BANDAGE can be used for cold compress, padding, support for pressure or support sling.
One of the procedures in giving first aid is to check the vital signs.
Move the injured part is NOT a proper way of handling fractures.
Wound is a break in the continuity of our body’s tissue.
PUNCTURE is caused by nails, needles and other pointed objects that pierced through the skin.
LACERATION- is a blunt breaking of soft tissue usually caused by mishandling object and other accidents.
AVULSION – IS A FORCIBLE TEARING OF TISSUES OR PARTIAL TEARING AWAY OF TISSUES
INCISION – is a cut caused by sharp objects such as knife or cutter etc.
What should we do to prevent or reduce the risk of intentional injuries from happening to us?
1.Cross the streets properly on designated crossings and by using overpass if possible
2. Practice safety measure at all time
• Equip ourselves with proper knowledge in first aid
KINDS OF TRANSPORTING the VICTIM
1.Lover’s Carry and Fireman’s Carry- easiest way to transport a light and smaller victim.
2. Piggyback- it is use when the victim is conscious.
3. shoulder drag- it is used for short distance transport.
4. blanket drag – it is used when the victim is seriously injured and should not be lifted.
5. Shoulder drag- it is used for short distant transport.
6. Fireman’s drag or tied-hands crawl- it is used when first aider and victim must crawl underneath a low structure.
