Geographic Information

SITOTA
ABERA
ALENE
Sitota Abera Alene is one of the smallest child in the
foundation sponsorship program. She is six years old
and learn in Kotebe Birhane Hiwot Kindergarten
School. Sitota lives in Yeka sub-city Wereda 11, in a
village called “Urael Sefer” above a village Selam
Dabo. Her village is almost near the forest found at
the tip of the sub city. Nearby there are Orthodox
Churches, concrete water thank and liquor factory.
Her school is 1.8 km away from her home.

 EDUCATION

Sitota means in Sitota is learning in governmental

Kindergarten, which is the few
gift, in Amharic kindergartens in the wereda. In her
school, they have two teachers the main
Language. teacher and her assistant. Most of the
kindergarten teachers are females and
one teacher and one assistant teacher is
assigned for one section of class. Sitota
is learning all her subjects by those
teachers. Stota loves English subject
because of her love with her assistant
teacher miss Tsion.

With the Foundation

Sitota reported that her mother is receiving the monthly food and sanitation items, she listed that
she is consuming the teff, wheat flour, food oil, lentils, shiro /grinded peas/, Berbere/grinded
Pepper, rice, pasta, macaroni, hair oil, bath and bar soaps and Vaseline. Her mother is very
thankful for the tutorial class program of the foundation, because she will have friends, and
additional revision for her regular class as well as Bible class. She is thankful about her sponsors.

Extra Time

Sitota spends most of her extra time with her mother

and play with local toys. She prepares or collects
unused materials that could be important to use as
toys. Because the home she lives is quite and there is
no other child that she plays with.

How the Mother and The Child

are going on?
Lubaba Ahmed is the mother of
Sitota, she likes that she is living
for her child. Her daily way of life
is feeding, clothing, cleaning,
taking to school and bringing back
after school to home on foot. In
school days, Lubaba always give
breakfast to Sitota, packing
lunch, and waiting Sitota until she
gets out from her class in
afternoon. Sitota likes her mother
nature and she loves her
character while she is getting
serious.

Sitota is very decent and humble girl. She understands the financial capacity of her
mother. She knows what is very important for her education and life.
Character
people loving girl. She always has greetings with teachers, workers and friends as it is
observed in the tutorial class.
Social Life and Church
Sitota has one friend in her school her friend name is Soliyana. She became friend with
her because Soliyana is kind and polite. In weekends they go to St. Urael Church
together in weekends and monthly celebrations
She remains in her compound where she rents, she only play in quite compound alone.
Lubaba is thank full with the tutorial class game play, because it helps her to play with
others and important for her socialization process.
Discipline
She is not mostly engaged in doing wrongs, if she repeated doing wrongs, the mother
rebuking her. Sitota can communicate with her mother easily

Lubaba
Lubaba is 37 years old
woman. She is born in
Amhara Regional State
South Wollo Zone, Dessie
Zuriya Wereda. She was is
not engaged in any
educational enrollment. She
had served her family until
she gets sixteen years old. In
1993 she came to Addis
Ababa with one of her
cousin. In her stays of Addis
Ababa she introduced with
father of Sitota. He was
Auto-Mechanic, he got lot of
money but he wasted his
money in drinking alcohol.
Lubaba said, he did not share
cost of living in their
relationship and Lubaba had
gotten pregnant. After Sitota
had born, he left her with
unknown reason. Lubaba
reported that she paid a great
sacrifice to raise Sitota.

Safety
There is no safety issue concern that makes them to worry.

Health
Her mother is good in her wellness but Sitota has a problem in her throat which locally known as
tonsillitis. Her throat is cut locally while she was very child and Sitota has low apatite

Sitatota gets alone in ሰ her compound where they rent because in that compound, there is no other
kid.
