Perform Laboratory Activity #7:

a. By using Muller’s Method, find the root of the equation f(x) = 𝑥 3 − 3𝑥 + 1 with initial guesses x0=1, x1=2, x2=3

Therefore, the root of the equation is 1.532088886 at iteration 7.

b. By using Muller’s Method, find the root of the equation f(x) = 𝑥 3 − 3𝑥 + 1 with initial guesses x0=0, x1=-1, x2=-3

Therefore, the root of the equation is -1.879385242 at iteration 7.
