This program is aimed at training candidates for the job of a “Camera and accessories handler”, in the
“Media and Entertainment” Sector/Industry and aims at building the following key competencies

After completing this programme, participants will be able to:
Training Outcomes  Coordinate with logistics players, where required, to have the
equipment delivered to the vendor/own facilities as required
 Arrange for security and protection of the equipment during
storage and logistics
 Prepare equipment for shoot including unpacking, cleaning and
assembling cameras and lenses, loading the film stock into
magazines, charging batteries etc
 Report any damages to the camera and production teams
 Ensure cameras are mounted on grips and the locks are
fastened securely

 Outline the importance of Employability Skills for the current job

1 Description Camera and accessories handler in the Media & Entertainment Industry is
also known as the First Assistant / Second Assistant this job are
responsible to mark focus lengths based on the required composition and
focus and refocus the camera lenses during shoots. They are also
responsible to set-up/dismantle camera equipment.

2 Personal This job requires the individual to judge distances and mark focus lengths
Attributes accurately. The individual must be creative and detail oriented. The
individual must know and keep updated on the various camera equipment,
shooting techniques and mediums. The individual must have excellent
communication skills and must possess the ability to work collaboratively
as a part of a team.

3 Minimum Preferable XII

4a Domain Certified for Job Role: “Camera and accessories handler” mapped to
Certification QP: “MES/ Q0907, v1.0”. Minimum accepted score is 70%
4b Platform Recommended that the Trainer is certified for the Job Role: “Trainer”,
Certification mapped to the Qualification Pack: “MES/Q 0907”. Minimum accepted %
as per respective SSC guidelines is 60%.
5 Experience Minimum 3 years of experience as Camera and accessories handler.

CRITERIA FOR ASSESSMENT OF TRAINEES
Job Role: Camera and accessories handler

Guidelines for Assessment:


1. Criteria for assessment for each Qualification Pack will be created by the Sector Skill
Council. Each Performance Criteria (PC) will be assigned marks proportional to its
importance in NOS. SSC will also lay down proportion of marks for Theory and Skills
Practical for each PC.
2. The assessment for the theory & Practical part will be based on knowledge bank of
questions created by the AA and approved by SSC.
3. Individual assessment agencies will create unique question papers for theory part for
each candidate at each examination/training center (as per assessment criteria below)

4. Individual assessment agencies will create unique evaluations for skill practical for
every student at each examination/training center based on this criteria.
5. To pass the Qualification Pack , every trainee should score a minimum of 70%
cumulatively (Theory and Practical).
6. In case of unsuccessful completion, the trainee may seek reassessment on the
Qualification Pack
