Learning Focus:

To understand that there are special tests carried out during antenatal care for some expectant mums

Levelled Learning outcomes:

MUST be able to name the special tests carried out during some pregnancies
SHOULD be able to describe how these tests are carried out
COULD be able to explain other problems that sometimes occur during pregnancy and their causes

Starter Activity:
Discussion about what was covered the previous lesson given my absence through illness.

Main Lesson Focus:
If video was not shown the second programme can be shown now.
Give students notes about the special tests that can be carried out as needed. 30 mins
Make a spider gram of the problems that can occur during pregnancy 30 mins
Discuss and give notes on pre eclampsia, premature birth, Rh factor, diabetes, placental 20 mins
problems, breech position

Share an example of a past paper question on this topic. Can students answer it correctly?
