Not many universities students like spending time with their family at the weekend.
What are the reasons? What are the effects?
There is a common issue among universitites students these days is that thay spend less time for family gathering at the weekend. One of the main causes of this problem is that they are very busy with their works. To be more precise, mostly undergraduates have to study and work at the same time to cover their everyday needs. Therefore, they tend to spend their weekend finishing their works instead of coming home. Secondly, they may find it more interesting to take part in extra activities or go out with their friends at the weekend. For example, my brother prefers chatting and playing games with his friends to eating out with my family. This problem undeniably has negative effects on both students and their families. Firstly, people will have a weak bonding in relationships with their family members. In other words, the generation gap will be widened if they do not communicate with each other. For example, nowadays some students only chat quickly with their parents through video calls, which decreases the connection among family members. Secondly, being exhausted from numerous works and short of parental love, people can become more introverted and sorrowful. Even of it lasts too long, it may cause depression in students.
