POSITION PAPER
What is the biggest change in camera technology revolutionized photography?

The essence of the story is the idea of new technology that canvasses the boundaries between
variety of digital photography and traditional artificial photography that introduces a new perspective
on the world of photography we always knew. The artistic production called photography that has
now become widely known and used came with that of the analog film technology which required the
camera itself and expenses in buying film and processing. There were consideration points of the
inconvenient and sometimes so challenging procedures of development. In the photography world in
general, there came into the market digital cameras, which are responsible for the transformation in it
in a great way. Digital cameras use the same electromagnetic photos as the film cameras but with
digital information. Hence, the film and digital cameras use shallow and deep cameras respectively, for
example, a 50mm lens on the film camera is the equal of the f/1.8 lens. Those unique ways of making
camera effects that were employed by them were enhanced to an extent that those could even outdo
the simple movies. Additionally, there are wet collodions that are quite simple as contrary to the latter,
it is meant to serve those people who easily adapt to know how to handle the camera.

It is just a matter of more than two decades since digital photography has finally exterminated
industrial film entirely. The shift of the analog to digital photographic paradigm was followed by a lot
of stirs. Victorians not only found new ways to take pictures but also the way photographs are being
used in society. Digital photography afforded users the immediate opportunity to not only view but
also edit and share their captured images in real-time, bypassing the delays of traditional film
development. The photographers could view the shots from a display screen and kept the best among
the photos. Programs permitted enhanced editing which involves the photo changing and processing.
Meaningful to say, online had the ability to overturn the idea of channeling photos amongst the world
only through the conventional postal services. This process corrected the actual film frame by frame
and marked a significant advancement in photography in general.

Digital technology also reduced the costs of photography by eliminating expenses associated
with purchasing and developing films. The lowered financial barriers gave rise to an explosion of
amateur photography. Suddenly anyone with a camera could take thousands of photos at negligible
cost. Photography was not just for professional photographers or people who were really into it as a
hobby anymore. Digital photography made it so anyone could take photos. Consequently, a great many
ordinary individuals felt increasingly inclined to chronicle and circulate glimpses into their everyday
experiences as well as the small pleasures which brought them happiness by means of photographs or
a habitual routine.

Digital camera features also expanded photographic capabilities. Automated settings and
shooting modes freed photographers from manual adjustments. Image stabilization and improved low
light sensitivity enabled clearer photos in a wider range of conditions. Continuous shooting provided
the ability to capture rapid action. And wireless connectivity allowed instant transmission of photos.
All these new features totally changed how people took photos and what kinds of photos they took.

However, the ramifications of digital photography transcend far past merely the device itself.
When smartphones with cameras became common, it made photography available to everyone. Photo
editing apps let most people change their pictures easily. Social media provided a platform to instantly
share images and build audiences. The huge number of digital photos being taken led to big changes in
how people viewed and shared images. And digital technology drove innovations in related fields like
image processing, computer vision, and VR/AR.

Within merely a few decades, the transition to digital photography completely reinvented the
technology, procedures, expenses, capabilities, and widespread availability of photography from what
it had remained as for over 100 years, in a manner that was revolutionary despite retaining the same
fundamental principles. While photography once required considerable expertise and financial
investment, the transition to digital formats has made image capture one of the most convenient and
pervasive means of self-expression and connection in contemporary society. While some people still
use film, most photographs today start as digital pictures. The complete embrace of this revolutionary
technology has thoroughly democratized image-making and given images a highly visible place in how
we document, share, and interact with the world around us.
