II. SESSION DETAILS
Session Title: Kindness in Action: Learning from a Tricycle Driver

Session At the end of the session, learners will be able to:


Objectives: ● understand the importance of kindness in everyday interactions;
● recognize examples of kindness in their community;
● reflect on how small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

Key Concepts: ● Understanding what kindness is and why it's important in building a positive and supportive
community.
● Recognizing that everyone has the power to contribute to building a kinder and more
inclusive community through their actions and interactions.
● Reflecting on the impact of small acts of kindness and understanding that even simple
gestures can make a significant difference in someone's day or life.
● Cultivating a sense of gratitude for acts of kindness received and observed.
● Recognizing that kindness is a choice and a responsibility that each individual holds.

Activity 3. Kindness Bingo
With the guidance of the teacher, the students will go around and ask their classmates
to perform or do the following acts of kindness in a bingo card and write their names
inside the box. The teacher will set a time limit. The student with the highest number
of respondents will be declared winner.

Activity 4. It’s time to share!

The teacher may choose some questions from the given options for follow-up activity
about the “Kindness Bingo” game.

1.Can you name a time when someone showed kindness to you when you really
needed it?
2. Share a small act of kindness you witnessed recently.
3. Give one way of showing kindness to a friend or to a family member today?
4. Describe a time when you went out of your way to help someone without expecting
anything in return.
5. Name a random act of kindness you could do for a stranger.
6. Think of a compliment you could give to someone to brighten his day.
7. Share a memory when someone unexpectedly made you smile.
8. Describe a time when you forgave someone or you were forgiven and kindness
played a role.
9.Can you think of a situation where showing kindness has helped resolved a
conflict?
10. Share a story of a time when you saw someone standing up for kindness.

Activity 5. Facilitate a discussion about the story:
Concept 1. Who is the main character?

4. Why is it important to notice and appreciate acts of kindness in our
community?
5. Show pictures or illustrations of different acts of kindness (e.g., helping an
elderly person cross the street, sharing toys with a friend, saying kind words
to someone who is sad) and discuss each one with the class. Ask students to
identify the acts of kindness and explain why they are important.

experiences.
