What is a belief/conviction?

A belief is an acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists. A conviction is


a firmly held belief or opinion.

Example: I believe that following safety protocol like wearing facemask in public places is
a big help to keep yourself free from the virus.

Here are some of the expressions used in expressing your belief or conviction:

1. Luisa: Lapu - Lapu City is one of the most historical city in the Philippines.
Maria: Well, it is considered that it is a historical city because it is where Lapu-Lapu and his men
defeated the Portuguese explorer Magellan.

2. Mary: Anna, if our teacher will ask me a rules to be set in our school, I would say that cell
phones should be banned in school.
Anna: For me, it would be to maintain the cleanliness in our school.
