WRITING ASSIGNMENT – LESSON 16

Unit: 10
Topic:

 1st draft

For a long time, statistics have shown that the main role of childcare in the family is
often still that of the mother. Today, however, the percentage of stay-at-home fathers is
increasing, and this increase is almost a phenomenon.
It is undeniable that the global economy is going down. Many men workers have been
sacked; consequently, they stay home, do household chores, and care for children. To
begin with, for example, in careers such as teaching or marketing, women are always
appreciated, and this has made it easier for them to find a job than men. Furthermore,
another reason why husbands’ roles have changed in recent years is the acceptance of
society for them to become nannies instead of going to work and supporting the family.
On the other hand, children who are growing up need more love and care, which they
can get more clearly from their mothers. First of all, women have a natural instinct to
provide care and comfort. No matter how hard they try, fathers cannot instill the values
that a mother can instill in her children. Therefore, this affects parenting. Furthermore,
fathers cannot handle both household chores and childcare Besides, according to
researchers, women are said to be multitasking.
To sum up, there are various factors that could be counted for the trend that fathers
staying at home and taking care of children and mothers going out for work, However,
I would strongly believe that this progress is certainly positive.
