TITLE/TAG SWITCH VALVE LEAK TEST
EQUIPMENT TYPE (PSA) NITROGEN GENERATING SYSTEM
INTERVAL 6 MONTHLY
PRECAUTIONS
Note: Tick boxes to indicate completion.
1. Obtain an approved Work Permit before commencing activities. 
2. During this procedure ensure purge valves PBV-218/219 or PBV-239/240 are closed. 
3. Turn system normal/off-stream to off-stream position. 

PREPARATION/ISOLATION
4. Check that the equipment tags are as detailed on work order sheet/work permit.  

MAINTENANCE ACTIVITY
5. Carry out valve leak testing as described in PSA Manual (section 6.4) 
6. Clean and tidy worksite. 
7. Return the system to normal operation. 
8. Remove “Work In Progress” notices. 
9. Sign off the Work Permit. 

CAUTION: DURING THE LEAK TEST THE OXYGEN PURITY OF THE GAS IN THE
NITROGEN RECEIVER MAY RISE DUE TO INSTABILITY OF THE
ADSORBER TOWERS DURING THE TEST.
