Literacy Writing

We are taking a break from our non-fiction unit to

focus on perseverance and overcoming
challenges.
Unit High Frequency words: with, that, this, from,to,
no, so, said
Previous units: and, must, went, help, is, as,

Phonics/Phonemic Awareness: FF, LL, SS, ZZ in one
syllable words
We will spend this week reviewing what
writers do. We will focus on capitalization,
spacing, punctuation and wow
drawings. Most importantly we will focus
on being a brave speller, using our
knowledge of letter sounds to help us write
words.

Math Science- Push and Pulls

Students will continue to work on number
bonds. We will begin finding an unknown addend
in each story problem we hear.
Students will finally design a pinball
machine!
Vocabulary: Force, Exert, Engineer,
Object, Visualize, Push, and Pull, Cause
and Effect

Suggested homework: Practice high frequency words and writing.
