Introduction

The method of selling products has been modified throughout the years - from the traditional
visiting and purchasing in real life, online ordering platforms have been created to make purchasing
easier and convenient. The Sunday’s Cakes and Pastries Shop web-based application system is an
online ordering platform designed to support the local business named The Sunday’s Cakes and
Pastries located at Libungan, North Cotabato. One of the goals is to improve the existence of the
bakeshop to the locals of the Libungan and Midsayap areas. This project is created to address existing
problems such as the struggles of visiting and purchasing products personally and the low exposure of
the shop to the local area.
Ever since the pandemic came, people have been relying on online apps and websites to
complete the errands they have; this includes the ordering of products and items needed in their
everyday lives such as foods and necessities. The creation of this project demonstrates the use of
ordering online through multiple devices such as mobile phones, laptops, tablets, and computers with
the use of the Sunday’s Cakes and Pastries Shop. With the help of this project, the shop can improve
and expand the audience to a wider area. This web-based application system also allows the users to
customize their orders based on their preferences, this will provide a rich flavorful pastry experience
and increase the satisfaction of the users. In addition to that, since the people of today are accustomed
to using online platforms, the project’s promotion can boost the shop’s identity by attracting new
customers online.
Overall, the Sunday’s Cakes and Pastries Shop web-based application system is an ordering
platform that aims to make ordering convenient for the locals of Midsayap and Libungan. It allows
customers to be innovative to the products they like, and improve the bakeshop’s identity and
performance by gathering potential customers online.

The objectives of this project are:

1. To introduce to the locals of Libungan and Midsayap the Sunday’s Cakes and Pastries shop.
2. To give users a more convenient and faster way to order the shop’s products online.

Scope and Limitation

The project focuses on ordering and delivering bakes and pastries from Sunday's Cakes and
Pastries, a business located at Libungan, North Cotabato. The delivery is limited to Libungan and
Midsayap area only every sundays, users who are farther than the location stated can only pre-order
and claim the products in-person. The user can leave ratings of satisfaction or dissatisfaction as this
will be the basis on improvement. Users will also be able to see popular products that are listed in the
website. The main goal of the website is to promote Sunday's Cakes and Pastries to our targeted areas.
