ABSTRACT
o The project is a QR code – based system for recording student’s attendance every student is given a card
`with a unique barcode on it. Each QR code reflects a student’s unique identifier. Students just scan their
cards with a camera and system records their attendance according to the dates.

o Following that, the system saves all of the student attendance records and creates a defaulter list. It also
creates an over all report for the administrator in the form of an excel sheet.

o This type of application is highly beneficial in school and college for keeping track of everyday
attendance.
INTRODUCTION

o A system that takes down student’s attendance using QR code. Every student is provided with a
card containing a unique QR code. Students just have to scan their card in front of webcam and the
system notes down their attendance as per dates.

o Each qr code contain a unique id for students. System then stores all the student’s attendance
records and generates defaulter list. It also generates an overall report in excel sheet for admin. Such
type of application is very useful in school as well as college for daily attendance.

o Automated attendance system has been envisioned for the purpose of
reducing the errors that occur in the traditional (manual) attendance
taking system.

o The aim is to automate and make a system that is useful to the
