The purpose of this module is to expose you:

1) To the use of an action-oriented stakeholder and issues management approach for


understanding the ethical dimensions of business, organizational, and professional
complex issues, crises, and events that are happening now.

2) To an introduction on the relevance of ethical concepts, principles, and examples through


actual moral dilemmas that are occurring in your own lives, as well as with known
national and international people, companies, and groups.

3) To a simple, straightforward way of using stakeholder and issues management methods


with ethical reasoning in the marketplace and in workplace relationships.

4) To an engagement and expansion of your awareness on ethical and unethical practices in


business at the individual, group, organizational, and multinational levels through real-
time ethical dilemmas, stories, and cases.

5) To instill self-confidence and competence in your ability to think and act according to
moral principles. The classroom becomes a lab for real-life decisions.

2. Inculcate the formula of on how to compute minimum size of septic vault
3. Identify and inculcate the types of materials used in plumbing system

5. Create plumbing layout (location of fixtures only)

Rainfall
Obtained from roofs and watersheds. It is soft pure and good on places
Natural Surface Water
A mixture of surface run-off and ground water. Surface sources
include river, lakes, ponds and impounding reservoirs.
Underground Water
That portion of the rainwater which has percolated into the
underground deposits

TYPES OF WATER:
Natural Water
Readily found in nature
Purified Water
Water which undergoes treatment, either physical, biological or
chemical means to improve water quality.
Contaminated Water
Water with any material or substance that affects the quality of water
and affects the health of an individual.
Polluted Water
Water with the presence of any foreign substance
Hard Water
Water with the presence of elements such as calcium, Magnesium, Iron
and aluminum.
Soft Water
Water without the presence of Calcium and Magnesium.
Grey Water

Water from laundries, wash basins, sinks, shower, bathtubs
Black Water
Water plus human waste that is flushed out of toilets and urinals.
Storm Water
Rain, Surface run-off.

PROPERTIES OF WATER:
1. Heat Capacity
ability to absorb heat without becoming much warmer.
2. Surface Tension
ability of water to stick to itself and pull itself together.
3. Capillarity
ability of water to climb up a surface against the pull of gravity
4. Dissolving Ability
ability to dissolve almost any substance, it is known as a universal
solvent

THREE TYPES OF WATER DISTRIBUTION


1. UPFEED SYSYEM
From normal water pressure to public water main for low rise
buildings.
2. PNUEMATIC TANK
From air pressure to suction tank for tall buildings which
cannot reached by normal water pressure.
3. DOWNFEED SYSTEM
By gravity from over head tanks and supported by structural
frames or within roofdecks.
