FEEDING PROGRAM
PROPOSAL
INTRODUCTION

Food is very important in every human being. It is considered as one of the basic
necessity of an individual. Having enough food in the stomach affects one’s performance and
health condition. Food is like a fuel that can help an individual to survive and perform their
tasked.

In order to sustain students’ health condition, San Jose National High School implements
the ongoing Feeding Program in order to help severely wasted and indigent students. By means
of that, the students can go to their respective classes with enough food in the stomach and
can help them perform well in the class.

PROJECT GOAL

The project aims to improve student health condition and academic performance in
their respective subjects

PROJECT GENERAL OBJECTIVES

 Increase student attendance


 Increase at least 2% of their academic grades
 Decrease dropout rates in SJNHS

EXPECTED RESULTS

 Improve nutrition and health status


 Improve student self-esteem
 Improve academic performance in terms of their grades in every quarter
 Improve students’ participation in every activity in school

PROJECT SUMMARY

The project will start on the 3 rd week of August 2019 and it will be implemented in every
Monday, Wednesday and Friday of the month. The project will cater 150 severely wasted,
wasted and indigent students of San Jose National High School that will distributed to the
following:

Grade 7: 50 severely wasted/wasted students

Grade 8: 50 severely wasted/wasted students

Grade 9 and 10: 25 severely wasted/wasted students

Indigent students: 25 (from all grade levels)

The aim of this project includes serving nutritious foods every meal, improving the
health status and academic performance of the students. Higher school completion rates,
improve nutrition and health status as well as emotional, social behavior, intellectual
development and enhance self-esteem among the students.

TARGET STRATEGIES

The program will focus in improving students’ health condition in terms of their Body
Mass Index (BMI) with regards to their baseline and end line.

MANAGEMENT AND COORDINATION ARRANGEMENT

COORDINATION

The principal will direct the program activities together with the TLE Department
Chairperson and the assigned Nutrition Coordinator and Asst. Coordinator. The two (2)
coordinators are still implementing and supervising the Feeding Program. Then, the
coordinators follow-up the student status in their own respective advisers and coordinate to
the school nurse for the students’ health progress.

FUND MANAGEMENT ARRANGEMENT

The fund allocation will be provided by the school fund and NGO.

MONITORING, EVALUATION and REPORTING

MONITORING

The two coordinators will monitor and supervise the ongoing program of San Jose
National High School.

EVALUATION

Students Body Mass Index (BMI) and Academic Performance in terms of their grades are
the basis of determining students’ progress and improvement.
