ACR on 3rd Mangrove Planting

YES-O Officers and Volunteers together with the Science Teachers of Jiabong
National High School conducted the 1ST outdoor activity for this school year, last
October 8,2022 at Brgy. Masagana, Jiabong, Samar. The following are the specific
activities conducted: Monitored the survival rate of the mangroves planted on the 1 st
and 2nd planting activity, collected seedlings for Avicennia and Rhizophora and potted
seeds in the seedbank. The activity started at 6:00 o’clock and ended at 9:00 o’clock in
the morning, because this is the appropriate time for planting mangroves. It was
participated by teachers and learners. The purpose of such activity is for the
sustainability of the Mangrove Ecosystem in the area. The mangrove planting activity
was successfully done, we totally planted 137 mangroves. And the stakeholders of the
barangay shows active support on the said activity.
