resources when orally giving information, instructions, making
explanations and narrating events in personal or factual recounts.
C. LEARNING At the end of the lesson, the students are able to:

A. Reviewing previous lesson or The students will be divided into five groups. The teacher will give

of the new lesson (1min) uses, we will discuss about the five components of multimedia.

component. Let us first unlock difficulties by defining the words
that we had arranged a while ago.

new concepts (5mins) 1. Text materials - any piece of written materials which is still
the primary way to transmit information
2. Photographs and still images - illustrations which are
considered as the oldest form of media, when combined with
text becomes a strong visual element
3. Audio Files - these are recorded sound files created in our
website, presentation or even in our cellphone and digital
cameras
4. Video presentation- presents moving pictures and
typically combine images and sound for a compelling
multimedia experience
5. Graphic Image Files (GIF) and other forms of
Animation – middle ground between still images and video,
files that present a single image or rapidly display a
sequence of a few images to give the appearance of motion.

Each component has specific uses depending on different situations.

Example:

Text materials – used when you are posting announcements, presenting a


book report, writing an essay, etc.

Photographs and still images- used to visualize someone you didn’t meet
personal, something you didn’t see before, or a place that you didn’t
visited so far.

Audio files- used when you want to listen to music, present a recording of
interviews, etc.

Video Presentation- used when you will present video presentation


projects, it is also a more satisfying way of documenting important events
in life because of motion and sound that combined with it.

GIF- it makes your presentation interactive, it can be use to animate your


greeting cards, and so on.

G. Making generalizations and Multimedia means that computer information can be represented through
abstractions about the lesson audio, video, and animation in addition to traditional media.
