Objective
This method statement aims to provide information concerning the installation, testing and
commissioning for the Autoclave/Sterilizer Hospital UITM Puncak Alam 2 nd Phase Project.

Scope of Work
This method statement is to define the method of handling and installation requirement of
Autoclave/ Sterilizer and utility M&E services to be provided by others.

The scope of work shall be:

1. Site visits/inspections shall be carried out before proceeding with any installation works
of the Autoclave/ Sterilizer.
2. Ensure that all necessary utility M&E services by the hospital are under functionality.
3. Relocation of the stainless steel paneling wall is by others, as the attached shop drawing
required to offset 600mm from the RC column (refer to attachment A shop drawing).
Hexamine will be provided for the setting out. (Remark: Must be completed before the
Autoclave/Sterilizer been arrived)
4. Prior to any installation will be applied and get a permit from the hospital maintenance
department or relevant party.
5. Delivery of the Autoclave/ Sterilizer will be notified in advance 2 days, to ensure that
the loading bay area is sufficient to be placed for the Autoclave/ Sterilizer.
6. Along the journey to transfer the Autoclave/ Sterilizer from the loading bat area to the
CSSD room have a protected cover by plywood on the floor to avoid damage.
7. Once Autoclave/ Sterilizer is delivered to the CSSD, to be position and level the
Machine as per the requirement needed. Then, to do the connection work for plumbing
and electrical works. (All the installation work shall be applied on Saturday and Sunday
only as requested by the hospital to avoid any obstruction to operation work.)

Testing and Commissioning

In Malaysia standard for Autoclave/Sterilizer build with a steam generator and the pressure
vessel is required to go through JKKP inspection to pass the Hydrostatic Test (HT) and Steam
Test (ST). Before to proceed the T&C works.

All the testing and commissioning documents including delivery Order (DO), relevant T&C
inspection checklist form, and warranty certificate.

User Training
1. User training to be conducted by class covers such as:
a. On-site training system, in order to ensure users understand how to operate the
equipment as well.
b. Technical training for maintenance and technical part in order for them to assess
the breakdown.
