Details
The Karnataka State Schools Chess Championship on 1st January, 2023.
The Champions across all Categories will be reimbursed with the entry fee of the
National Schools Chess Championship 2023 of Rs 1,500 after they agree to participate in the
Nationals by signing a consent form.
The Event will be organized by New Tumakur District Chess Association and MM
Chess Development Trust.
The Tournament will be conducted in the Under 07, U9, U11, U13, U15 and U17
Categories.
The Event is open to resident of Karnataka only. PIO/OCI Passport holders are
ineligible to participate.
A copy of the Child’s date of birth certificate with a valid School ID or a certificate from the
school mentioning that he/she is a bonafide student of the school is required to be sent via
email at tumakuruchess@gmail.com

Prizes
All Categories will have Top 10- 5 Big Trophies + 5 Trophies for Boys and 5+ 5 Trophies
for Girls. In case we receive 100 or more entries in any age Category, then we will be giving
away a total of 15 Trophies for Boys and Girls respectively.
A player will forfeit the prize if he/she is absent from the Prize Distribution.
Strictly, no refunds or carry forward of entry fees is allowed.
Round Schedule and Entry Fee
Players meeting at 8:30, All Rounds start at 9:00 A.M. The rest of the round Schedule for the
Event will be published prior to Round 1 at the Tournament venue.

Last Date for sending entries is 26th December, 2022.

Entry fee for all Categories is Rs. 750, after last date entry fees is Rs.1000
Time given will be 25 minutes + 10 seconds increment

Under 09: Born on or after 1st January 2014
Under 11: Born on or after 1st January 2012
Under 13: Born on or after 1st January 2010
