DESCRIPTION/ BRIEF METHORD STATEMENT

 Follow PTW system.
 Arrange Rigging tools/equipment/Crane mats and support assets prior to starting the activity by
using pallet trolley.
 Mobilize the crane to work location (Plant premises) with area plant Operator permission .
 Barricade the total lifting radius area with proper signage.
 Setup the crane as mentioned in the attached lifting plan, plot plan with proper counterweights on fully
Extended outriggers and outrigger pads with designed/Planed outrigger Mat support.
 After setting up the crane make a dry run out without load to ensure outriggers are level and there is
adequate clearance between the counterweight, the boom and adjacent structure.
 Inspect all lifting attachments and lifting points prior to lift to ensure they have been fabricated and
Connected to the load as per designers.
 Only trained and competent rigger shall perform the activity.
 Ensure the signal person wear high visible jacket is authorized to give signal to crane operator.
 Make sure Crane Operator easily seen the signal man.
 Position the hook directly over the center of gravity so that the line of pull is vertical.
 Attach the slings to equipment as per lifting plot plan. (In addition, use Choker + Half Hitch RTA on motor.)
 Use Tag line support to control the load as per load nature.
 Check the travel path in clear and that you have a clear view to avoid accidental hook engagement or
collision.
 After confirm COG attach sling to equipment as per lifting plot and slowly lift equipment to job Locations.
 Bring the load to drop location with help of signal man. Use Radio/IS phone on blind lift Where the crane
operator can`t see the signal man.
 After lifting activity completed Demobilize crane and do good housekeeping .
 Make sure before demobilizing the crane from plant premises inform to area plant Operator.
ADDITIONAL PRECAUTIONS (SEQUENCE OF MOTOR LIFTER ACTIVITY)
1. Lift & shift the motor lifter from ground level to working platform and vice versa (Do not
lift the Motor Lifter and Motor together)
2. while moving Motor Lifter with Motor as well Uplifting/ Lowering Motor @the work
location. Secure the Motor on the Motor Lifter with a Lever Hoist and 1 ton. Round Sling.
