Talking about my city/town:

 What are the main touristic places in this city/town?

RTA: The main tourist places of Yopal are the viewpoint of the Virgin of Manare,
the natural park of La Iguana, the Garcero, the Morro and the natural pool La
Guatoca.

 What is the typical food in your city?

RTA: The typical food of my city is the dish a la Mamona, a traditional dish with
many years of history.

 What are the main celebrations in your city/town?

RTA: The main celebrations in my city are: The Golden Maroon and Yopal's
birthday which is celebrated on July 8.

 What activities can you do in your city/town?

RTA: In my city I can: ride horses, observe coleo, dance joropo, visit some
shopping centers, go to dinner at very prestigious restaurants in the region,
among others.

¡Hello!

My name is Mariana Alvarez, I am single, I am from Yopal, I am 27 years old. I am a

sales consultant in a naturist store, and I’m studying Psychology at UNAD. In my
free time, I like to read, or sometimes I prefer to watch TV and family sharing.

I live in Yopal, and I am going to talk about this great city. Yopal is a small city
located in Casanare, Colombia. In my city, there are some tourist places like the
Mirador of the virgin of Manare, where there is a spectacular view of the city, and
people often watch our sunrises and sunsets llaneros. There are also several
natural parks, among them is the Iguana Park, on the banks of the Cravo Sur River.
On the extensive beach of the river there are sports fields for football, beach
volleyball, basketball and microfootball; There are beautiful trails and water
channels, kiosks, benches, bridges cycle routes, forests of native species that incite
a rest in peace with nature.

The typical food of my city is the dish "The mamona", a traditional dish where
there are many years of history. The main celebrations in my city are: The
Cimarrón de Oro where there is llanera music all night and Yopal's birthday that is
celebrated on July 8.

In my city there is the possibility of horseback riding, observing coleus, dancing

joropo, visiting some shopping centers, going to dinner at the most prestigious
restaurants, among others.

In conclusion, Yopal is a beautiful and welcoming city, I hope to see you one day.

Párrafo de autoevaluación:

La tarea “All around me” me ha hecho recordar las épocas de colegio y claro está también
me ha fortalecido a la hora de expresarme en inglés y a perder el miedo a la hora de pronunciarlo,
además, del gran aprendizaje que me ha ofrecido el contenido del e-Book. Para esta tarea realice
cada uno de los aportes solicitados debidamente en el foro. En cuanto a la grabación de la
pronunciación la estudie hasta mil veces para así lograr la mejor vocalización posible. El video
siento que pudo haber quedado mejor (aunque lo prepare con tiempo) ya que el texto (guión) que
prepare para el mismo era un poco extenso y me fue un poco difícil aprenderlo por completo de
memoria. Por último, quiero decir que es muy gratificante este curso y los conocimientos
adquiridos pues aportan grandemente a mi vida personal pues como lo mencione en la reflexión
de la tarea anterior, soy madre de dos hermosos niños a los cuales puedo compartir mi
conocimiento y en cuanto a la parte profesional me ayuda a desenvolverme fácilmente. Para esta
tarea, me califico un 8 de 10, espero seguir mejorando cada vez mas en este curso y en los
siguientes niveles, muchas gracias.
