1. Reference: Police Blotter Entry No. CRIM-2C-00-2024 dated April 2, 2024.

2. This pertains to a case of Robbery with force upon things, transpired at on or about 10:30 PM
of April 02, 2024 at no. 3 JR Sabali pawnshop Lower Session Road, Baguio City on complaint of Mr.
Jhon Rheignheart Sabali, 21 years old, born on January 12,2003, single, business man, residing at Purok
03 Happy Hallow, Baguio City against Gideon Candilado 40 years old, born on April 02, 2002, residing
at Pinsao Pilot, Crusher Purok 4, Baguio City.

3. Accordingly, complainant disclosed that he locked the pawnshop around 9:00 PM of the same
date and went to eat at 7/11 convenient store, at Upper Session Road, Baguio City. After consuming his
food, he went back to his pawnshop but he was surprised because the door knob was destroyed, door was
opened and noticed that inside, the display glass was broken. He immediately checks his CCTV footage
and saw male person of which he personally identified as his former security guard which he terminated
due to tardiness as the one who forcibly destroy the door knob and entered the pawnshop and broke the
display glass and took unknown amount of jewelries PSSg Karen Soliven prepared all pertinent
documents for regular filing likewise, she requested for Forensic team.

Developed and lifted latent print from the doorknob labelled as HU-04-03-24 dated April 03,
2024 and standard fingerprint of one, Gideon Candilado.

PURPOSE OF LABORATORY EXAMINATION:

To determine the identity of the alleged suspect by comparing the questioned print and the
standard print whether they are identical or not.

FINDINGS:

Questioned latent print marked “HU-04-03-24” is identical with the left thumb fingerprint
appearing on the specimen marked “A1”.

CONCLUSION:

Questioned latent print marked as " HU-04-03-24" was impressed by the left thumb fingerprint of
one Gideon Candilado appears on the specimen marked as "A1".

REMARKS:

The original copy of this report is retained in this laboratory for future reference.

This Judicial Affidavit of Emmanuel Bagyan, of legal age, single, and with address at Legarda Rd.,
Baguio City, is executed to serve as his direct testimony in the instant case. This Judicial Affidavit is
offered to prove:
1. All the allegations in the case of robbery;

2. Including all the ANNEXES appended thereto, which he respectfully requests to be

correspondingly marked as EXHIBITS in this case; and
3. All matters related thereto, with reservation to present additional exhibits in the course of the
proceedings of the instant case.

QUESTIONS were propounded by plaintiff's counsel, Atty. Rin Amagen in English, which the affiant
fully speak and understands.
Q1: What is your current profession?
A: I am a Fingerprint Examiner at UC-REGIONAL CRIME LABORATORY OFFICE Ma’am.
Q2: Where did you go for academic attainment and further criminalistics training?
A: I finished both my Bachelor's degree in Criminology and Masters in Criminal Justice at the University
of the Cordilleras. I obtained my Forensic Fingerprint Examination training at Camp Crame Crime
Laboratory, and further enhance my knowledge in Fingerprint Examination by attending similar trainings
and seminars conducted by the American International Cooperation Agency and another training in
Forensic Dactyloscopy conducted by the Philippine Criminalistics Community.
Q3: How long have you been practicing your profession?
A: I have been practicing for almost 10 years sir.
Q4: Where are you presently employed?
A: UC-REGIONAL CRIME LABORATORY OFFICE, Baguio City Forensic Unit, sir.
Q5: Have you conducted examination on several fingerprint evidence before?
A: Yes Ma’am.
Q6: Have you been qualified to testify as expert in the past?
A: Yes Ma’am.
Q7: Where are you currently assigned?
A: I am currently assigned at UC-REGIONAL CRIME LABORATORY OFFICE, Baguio City Forensic
Unit, sir.
Q8: Where were you assigned on April 3, 2024?

Q9: What position do you currently hold?

prepared?
A: Yes Ma’am.
Q11: If I show you such a document, will you be able to identify it?
A: Yes Ma’am.
Q12: I am showing to you the document entitled DACTYLOSCOPY REPORT NO. UC-04 02-24, is this
familiar to you?

A: Yes Ma’am.
Q13: At the bottom left-hand side, there appears a signature above the typewritten name, Emmanuel

Q14: What is the purpose of the document you prepared?

A: The document is the report of the examination that I have conducted which was requested by the
Station Commander of Legarda Police Station 1 in relation to a latent print that their investigation team
developed and lifted and to present it as evidence when required by the court.
Q16: What items did you receive in this case?
A: I received one (1) questioned latent fingerprint and one standard latent print from PCOL Christian
Regalado, Investigator-on-Case.
Q17: May you please explain to the court your conclusion as it appears in that report?
A: Analysis, comparison and physical examination of the Questioned latent print marked " HU-04-03-24
" and standard fingerprint marked "A" revealed that both prints are identical.
Q18: What are your bases for these findings, briefly explain the principles and/or procedures arriving at
such conclusion?
A: The questioned latent print submitted was initially examined whether it is suitable for examination.
Analysis yielded that it is suited so comparison and examination was conducted between the questioned
latent print marked " HU-04-03-24 " and the standard fingerprint marked "A". The comparison and
physical examination of the two prints in aid of a magnifying glass revealed that the fingerprint pattern,
Show and form of the ridges are identical. Also, the ridge details of both are of the same kind, same
location and face the same direction or position. Further, twelve (12) identical ridge details were
identified and the number of intervening ridges between them are identical.
Q19: Based on the examination result, what is now your conclusion in relation to the instant case?
A: Questioned Latent print marked as " HU-04-03-24 " was impressed by the left thumb fingerprint of
one GIDEON CANDILADO appears on the specimen marked as "A".

Q20: How sure are you in your conclusions?

A: I am 100% sure Ma’am.
