MEMORANDUM
3. Accordingly, complainant disclosed that he locked the pawnshop around 9:00 PM of the same
date and went to eat at 7/11 convenient store, at Upper Session Road, Baguio City. After consuming his
food, he went back to his pawnshop but he was surprised because the door knob was destroyed, door was
opened and noticed that inside, the display glass was broken. He immediately checks his CCTV footage
and saw male person of which he personally identified as his former security guard which he terminated
due to tardiness as the one who forcibly destroy the door knob and entered the pawnshop and broke the
display glass and took unknown amount of jewelries PSSg Karen Soliven prepared all pertinent
documents for regular filing likewise, she requested for Forensic team.

SPECIMEN SUBMITTED:
Developed and lifted latent print from the doorknob labelled as HU-04-03-24 dated April 03,
2024 and standard fingerprint of one, Gideon Candilado.
To determine the identity of the alleged suspect by comparing the questioned print and the
standard print whether they are identical or not.
FINDINGS:
Questioned latent print marked “HU-04-03-24” is identical with the left thumb fingerprint
appearing on the specimen marked “A1”.
CONCLUSION:
Questioned latent print marked as " HU-04-03-24" was impressed by the left thumb fingerprint of
one Gideon Candilado appears on the specimen marked as "A1".
REMARKS:
The original copy of this report is retained in this laboratory for future reference.

Baguio City, is executed to serve as his direct testimony in the instant case. This Judicial Affidavit is

A: I am a Fingerprint Examiner at UC-REGIONAL CRIME LABORATORY OFFICE Ma’am.
Q2: Where did you go for academic attainment and further criminalistics training?
A: I finished both my Bachelor's degree in Criminology and Masters in Criminal Justice at the University
of the Cordilleras. I obtained my Forensic Fingerprint Examination training at Camp Crame Crime
Laboratory, and further enhance my knowledge in Fingerprint Examination by attending similar trainings
and seminars conducted by the American International Cooperation Agency and another training in
Forensic Dactyloscopy conducted by the Philippine Criminalistics Community.
Q3: How long have you been practicing your profession?
A: I have been practicing for almost 10 years sir.
Q4: Where are you presently employed?
A: UC-REGIONAL CRIME LABORATORY OFFICE, Baguio City Forensic Unit, sir.
Q5: Have you conducted examination on several fingerprint evidence before?
A: Yes Ma’am.
Q6: Have you been qualified to testify as expert in the past?
A: Yes Ma’am.

A: I am currently assigned at UC-REGIONAL CRIME LABORATORY OFFICE, Baguio City Forensic
Unit, sir.
