1. Cách dùng
Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn dùng để diễn tả những sự việc xảy ra ngay lúc nói hay xung quanh
thời điểm nói, và hành động chưa chấm dứt (còn tiếp tục diễn ra).
Ngoài ra, nó còn diễn tả hành động thường xuyên lặp đi lặp lại gây sự bực mình hay khó
chịu cho người nói. Cách dùng này được dùng với trạng từ “always, continually”
2. Cấu trúc
Khẳng định: S + am/ is/ are + V-ing. Ví dụ: She is cooking with her mother.
Trong đó: (Cô ấy đang nấu ăn với mẹ cô ấy.)
– S = I + am
– S = He/ She/ It + is
– S = We/ You/ They + are
Phủ định: S + am/ is/ are + not + V-ing. Ví dụ: My sister isn’t working now.
Trong đó: (Chị gái tôi bây giờ không làm việc.)
– am not: không có dạng viết tắt
– is not = isn’t
– are not = aren’t
Nghi vấn: Am/ Is/ Are + S + V-ing? Ví dụ: - Are you doing your homework?
