RE: SCDOT File 4083940 – Time Extension Request

Ms. Levy:

I have reviewed the time extension request submitted by Palmetto Corp. on December 4, 2020 in
conjunction with the District 1 Construction Office. Quantified activities were compared to the
baseline critical path method (CPM) schedule for the project, with overlaps removed and the
longest path used to calculate the total number of additional days allowable. Based on this analysis,
The Department has determined that a total extension of 672 calendar days is justified. The
following activities from your request substantiate this determination of additional contract time.

 Waterline tie in at Rice Creek (RFI #26) – 333 days from February 1, 2019 to December
31, 2019.
 Waterline design and approval at Lee Road – 280 days from December 31, 2019 to October
6, 2020.
 Dominion Gas relocation – 59 days from October 6, 2020 to December 4, 2020 (date of
request).

Please review and provide your response to this letter as soon as possible. Upon receipt, a change
order for additional time will be provided for your approval. You may contact me with any
questions or additional comments.
