5. Green belt will be developed which acts
as both noise and pollutants absorber.
Periodic stack & noise monitoring will be
conducted in the operation phase & reports
will be submitted to MoEF regional as well
as KSPCB
Vehicular movement change in ambient air 1. Restricting the speed of the vehicles

for free movement of vehicles.
3. Roadside tree plantation to be restored
and maintained.
4. Separate Exit & Entrance.
5. Separate foot path for pedestrians.
6. Sufficient Parking Facility including
extra 10 % for visitors parking.
7. Deploying guards for monitoring the
traffic flow within the houses as well as
at the junction of the houses & main
road.

water from sewage treatment plant will be
reused for green belt development, toilet
flushing and domestic purposes.
Solid waste Affect land and water 1. Proper segregation and collection of
generation bodies if not properly wastes will be practiced.
disposed 2. Organic waste is about 914.4 Kgs /day
and Inorganic waste is about 609.6 Kgs /day.
Solid waste will be collected and segregated.
The organic waste collected is converted in
to manure using organic waste converter and
inorganic waste will be sent for recycling.
3. The non-biodegradable solid wastes are
sold to vendors and while transporting the
waste the vehicles are covered properly to
avoid spillages.
Abstraction of water Depletion of water 1. Rain water harvesting structures will be
from bore wells and resources constructed to recharge the ground water.
open wells to meet 2. Percolation pits will be made at suitable
daily water points to collect the runoff generated from
requirement. the paved areas and rainwater from the roof
top will be taken to Recharge Trench
constructed near all the buildings.
Water Conservation Measures
1. Selection & use of native species of
vegetation to reduce landscape water
requirement.
2. Minimizing the paved surfaces to
minimize the storm water runoff volume
thereby increases the aquifer recharge.
3. An effective storm water management
plan will be implemented. Storm water
drains will be constructed to collect the
runoff from the paved areas.
4. Since the water consumption is more for
flushing applications, treated sewage will be
used. Dual plumbing system will be adopted
for using treated sewage for flushing
purposes.
5. Water efficient fixtures and devices can
be used.

4
Environmental management cell
Environment Management Cell (EMC) will look after the environment related matters during
the construction and operation phase of the project. EMC will perform the following
assignments.
 Regular monitoring of emissions and report any abnormalities for
immediate corrective measures.
 Regular monitoring of ambient air quality, ground and surface water quality.
 Regular noise monitoring of the work zone and surrounding area.
 Green belt plantation, maintenance, development of other forms of greenery.
 Regular monitoring of solid wastes quantity and ascertaining avenues for utilization of
solid wastes.
 Development & maintenance of schemes for water conservation.
The Environmental Management Cell (EMC) will take the overall responsibility for
coordination of the actions required for environmental management and mitigation, and for
monitoring the progress of the proposed management plans and actions to be taken. The
organizational set up of the Environmental Management Cell is shown in Figure 3.1
