Project Duration: 1 year
Project Abstract: The recycling industry's emphasis on sustainable waste management
procedures has drawn more attention to tire recycling. Motorcycle tires
pose a particular difficulty because of their composition and size. This
study describes the design and implementation of a customized tire
shredder crumbing machine for motorcycle tires (Zhang, Li, & Parker,
2019). The machine has novel features to swiftly and effectively solve the
unique requirements and problems of shredding motorcycle tires.

Recycling motorcycle tires provides a big possibility for sustainable

asphalt production by including crumbed rubber into asphalt mixtures.
This study describes the design and development of a customized
Motorcycle Tire Shredder Crumbing Machine designed to efficiently
convert motorcycle tires into crumbed rubber suitable for asphalt
manufacture. The Motorcycle Tire Shredder Crumbing Machine stresses
both environmental sustainability and operational efficiency by
transforming waste motorcycle tires into viable road building supplies.

Crumbed rubber from motorcycle tires improves asphalt mix qualities

such as durability, fracture resistance, and skid resistance. Furthermore,
the use of crumbed rubber reduces material prices and environmental
effect by diverting tires from landfills and decreasing the requirement for
virgin materials (Green et al., 2021). Experimental results show that the
MTSCM is successful at creating crumbed rubber with particle sizes
ranging from 0.5 to 4.75 millimeters, which is appropriate for asphalt
manufacturing (Johnson et al., 2023). Furthermore, performance testing of
asphalt mixes with crumbed rubber yields encouraging findings in terms
of better pavement qualities and increased sustainability indicators (Smith
& Brown, 2022).

This study advances sustainable asphalt production methods by

proposing a realistic option for motorcycle tire recycling. The use of
crumbed rubber generated from motorcycle tires improves asphalt mix
performance while also encouraging resource economy and environmental
responsibility in the building sector.
