Research and implementation of fish-cage farming along the beaches of Lake Victoria, Bondo district, in
collaboration with investment groups comprising of Kenyans living in the United Kingdom.
Responsibilities:
 Training fish farmers on the need of systematically and meticulously keeping records, basic book
keeping skills to enable them gauge their business performance.
 Helping the farmers get market for their fish by connecting them with fish processing companies and
assisting them negotiate attractive prices
 Capacity building of the farmers on fishing practices like introducing aeration through vertical pumps
and paddlewheels. Aeration can enhance water quality, reduce stress, improve feed conversion
efficiency, and increase growth and production rates.
 Take part on project evaluations and reviews with an aim of identifying factors hindering the
effectiveness of this fish farming method and making requisite remedial changes .
