Emilio Jacinto
• Emilio Jacinto was a Filipino revolutionary and a writer who played a significant role in the Philippine Revolution against
Spanish colonial rule. He was a close associate of the national hero, Andres Bonifacio, and is known for his contributions to
the revolutionary movement through his writings and his involvement in the Katipunan, secret society that aimed to
overthrow Spanish rule in the Philippines. Jacinto’s ideas and writings helped shape the movement’s ideals and goals.
• He is best known for his authorship of the "Kartilya ng Katipunan" or "Primer of the Katipunan." The Kartilya is a set of
revolutionary ideals and principles that served as a guide for members of the Katipunan, a secret society dedicated to

Filipinos. Jacinto’s writing in the Kartilya played a crucial role in shaping the ideology of the Katipunan and inspiring its
