1. Discuss three (3) contributions of the Kartilya to Philippine history (10 points).
• The Kartilya share the history how Filipinos united to create a group or community to fight the
Spaniards. The thing is, Filipino is united. they stand still against the colonizer to liberate their
land, even though the price is high. but for the sake of everyone they will fight for
independency and also for the people who sacrifice their life in our nation to have freedom.
This tells us, Filipinos back then are intellectual revolutionaries and have a sense of morality
fighting for just and good service. Without them we cannot inherit the braveness and courage
of being true Filipino
• The Kartilya of Katipunan shows self-reflection and virtues that every katipunero must
embodied. This tells us that we should live on a right path. Living on a right path affects the
people by being a role model. Ever since we Filipinos, always incorporates our moral and
values in every institution. We create it in-order to have peace and guidelines for the members
and also to fire-up their righteousness.
• In kartilya of Katipunan, the relevancy of it is to shaped the mind of Filipinos to love their
country and evaluate their self. We can see in that document that it is full of values, but also it
touches self-reflection of anyone who read it. This value will lead the katipuneros in the right
path.

2. Discuss three (3) influences of the Kartilya to the present Philippine government
• Moral and ethical values - The Kartilya emphasizes the importance of cultivating strong
moral and ethical values, such as honesty, humility, and patriotism. Which continue to
be important to the Philippine government and society. These values are reflected in
various codes of conduct and ethical standards that guide the actions of government
officials, including the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and
Employees.
• Sense of community and collective responsibility - The Kartilya emphasizes the
importance of working together towards a common goal. This sense of community and
collective responsibility is reflected in various government programs and initiatives that
aim to uplift the welfare of all Filipinos. Especially the marginalized and underserved
sectors.
• Nationalism and love of country - The Kartilya encourages a strong sense of nationalism
and love for one's country. Which continues to be an important value in the Philippines.
This is reflected in various government policies and initiatives that aim to protect and
promote Philippine culture and heritage. As well as to defend the country's sovereignty
and territorial integrity.
