National Conference of Architects 2022
PAYAGPAG: Ascending to the Future
The National Conference for Architects 2022, themed "PAYAGPAG Ascending to
the Future" (NCA-2022), unfolded its vibrant discussions and insights on October
21-22, 2022, at the BE Grand Resort in Panglao, Bohol. Building on the themes of
resilience in 2020 and determination in 2021, this year's NCA embraced the
positive outlook with "Payagpag: Ascending to the Future."

Ar. Bernard Anthony R. Vitan, the Chapter President of UAP Del Pilar-Bulacan,
proudly represented the chapter as a delegate to NCA-2022. The event featured a
P.4 spectrum of activities, including the Chapter Presidents' Assembly, Architects'
Conference, Continuing Professional Development, General Meeting, Bohol Tour,
and the Fellowship Night.

Amidst the picturesque backdrop of Bohol, the conference provided a platform
for architects to exchange ideas on designs, innovations, and environmentally
conscious materials. It also fostered connections with like-minded individuals,

UAP DEL PILAR-Bulacan Chapter had partnership to UAP QC

Circle on their CPD Program 5.0. The CPD program was attended
and participated by UAP Del Pilar Chapter led by CP Ar. Bernard
Anthony R. Vitan. During breaks of lecture, UAP NP Ar. Richard M.
Garcia, FUAP had a brief talk to the participants of over 32 UAP
Chapters and more than 700 members.

5th BOD Meeting

Via Zoom Conference

UAP DEL PILAR – Bulacan Chapter held its 5th Board of Directors
(BOD) Meeting together with the Council of Advisers dated
November 9, 2022, via ZOOM Conference App. The Meeting was
led by CP Ar. Bernard Anthony R. Vitan, with the Chapter officers
BOD Ar. Andrei T. Bendal, IPP Ar. Imelda M. Trance, and the
Council of Advisers PDD Ar. Pedro C. Martin, PDD, PDD Ar.
German F. Ramirez, Jr., PCP and Chairperson of CGEA National
and Civic Affairs Ar. Mary Kristine A. Segovia.

The agenda of the meeting was the upcoming activities, such as

the ANDAMYO Book Launching, Completion of Mural Painting,
Hydroponics Seminar, Chapter’s CPD Program, and the
Preparation of BID Documents and the upcoming Chapter’s NAW
Activity on December.

ARCHITECTURE FOR WELL-BEING

In commemoration of the globally observed World Architecture

Day on October 3, 2022, the UAP Del Pilar-Bulacan Chapter proudly
acknowledges the outstanding achievement of its newest member,
Architect Angela Princess M. Crisostomo. The winning entry, titled
"Architecture for Well-Being," was taken at the renowned Pintô Art
Museum.

The photo captured the essence of architectural design that

contributes to the well-being of individuals. The image, set against
the backdrop of Pintô Art Museum, conveyed a profound
understanding of how architecture intertwines with the holistic
experience of those who interact with it. The official announcement
was proudly displayed on the UAP WAD Facebook page. This
achievement stands as a testament to her talent and dedication,
emphasizing the significant role architecture plays in shaping
environments that promote well-being and aesthetic appreciation.

On November 15, 2022, UAP Del Pilar – Bulacan Chapter headed

by CP Ar. Bernard Anthony R. Vitan went to Marilao Central
Integrated School for the presentation and MOU signing for the
Design of Proposed Gat. Marcelo H. Del Pilar Monument. The
objective is to promote culture and heritage on the school
grounds and the community.

GUHIT PAALALA TUWING MAY SAKUNA
Mural Painting for Caniogan Elementary School, Malolos City

UAP Del Pilar-Bulacan Chapter, in collaboration with Caniogan

Elementary School and Bulacan State University UAPSA, joined
hands for the Mural Painting project on Disaster Risk Reduction
and Management (DRRM).

The Mural Painting commenced on September 24, 2022, and

concluded on November 19, 2022. The journey to completion was
challenging, with multiple delays caused by tropical storms and
UAPSA school activities at BulSu.

Led by Chapter President Ar. Bernard Anthony R. Vitan, along with

Del Pilar members and Board of Directors such as Ar. Joanna Marie
M. Bulan, new members Ar. Angela Princess M. Crisostomo and Ar.
Aldrin M. Amurao, the completion of the mural painting, themed
"PINSEL AT PINTURA: Guhit Paalala Tuwing May Sakuna" was
achieved. Representatives from UAPSA and school administrators
also participated in this collaborative effort.

Vitan conducted its Green Architecture Activity entitled:
Alternatibong Sistema para sa Kalusugan, Kabuhayan at
Kalikasan.

On November 19, 2022, the Chapter invited Mr. Julius Legaspi an

Artwork Painter by professional and a hydroponics instructor, to
share his wide knowledge in HYDROPONICS SYSTEM.

Also, joining with us are the PTA Officers of Sto. Cristo Elementary
School which is the recipient of the said activity.

ANDAMYO: Filipino Architects’ Design Wisdom

UAP Del Pilar Bulacan Chapter held a book launching at Sta. Maria, Bulacan on November 19, 2022. The book entitled
ANDAMYO: Filipino Architects’ Design Wisdom was written by our Chapter Member and Adviser Ar. Joel V. Rico, FPIA, UAP and
some excerpts by PAVP Ar. Robert Benedict C. Hermoso, FUAP. All Chapter members who attended the activity got a chance
to have a signed copy of the book. Congratulations Ar. Joel! We are all proud of you!

The 5th General Membership Meeting was also held on November 19, 2022 at Bernabe Compound – Bagbaguin, Sta. Maria,
Bulacan. Led by CP Ar. Bernard Anthony R. Vitan and was attended and participated by the Chapter Members. Prior to the said
meeting was the Book Launching Activity of ANDAMYO.

Joining us were our industry partners namely BOYSEN Pacific Paints Inc., and One SKY Jaro who generously sponsored our
meeting and made it possible for the chapter to enjoy the said activity.
