BECOMING A KA-GOYO

On July 24, 2022, new members of UAP RDA2a F.Y. 2022-2023 had the honor to
attend the Joint Induction Ceremony at Malolos City, Bulacan, dubbed
“Arkitektong Handa sa Hinaharap.” Guest of honor is UAP National President
P.3 Arch. Richard Garcia, FUAP, ASEAN ARCH., PALA, PIEP, introducing this year's
platform of "Futureproofing UAP".
P.4 As new members of the UAP Del Pilar Bulacan Chapter, not only did we feel
welcomed and accepted into this special circle, but we learned about the
importance of actively participating with the aligned chapter goals to help the
community with our profession.
Other than a requirement, we are confident that the organization will help us in
our practice by connecting with mentors and fellow professionals that can open
doors of opportunities with other industry partners. We stand both humbled and
proud because as a Ka-Goyo, we know we are more than just colleagues, we are
"pinned" as part of a Del Pilar Family. This is our #LevelUp.

Annual Strategic Planning

UAP Del Pilar Bulacan Chapter strives to be as successful as possible as

an architectural organization. That is why strategic planning is initiated
at the start of every fiscal year.

Led by Chapter President Ar. Bernard Vitan last July 2, 2020, Del Pilar
members together with their families spent a good day of fun, bonding,
brainstorming, and exchange of creative ideas to gear up as a
professional organization. This event helps us set overall goals for our
chapter and develop a plan to achieve them. It involves stepping back
from our day-to- day grind and asking where our chapter is headed and
what its priorities should be.

This also allows us to bond and raise a glass to a well-deserved

celebration for receiving the Hall of Fame Award at the 47th UAP
National Convention. This is the fifth time an Outstanding Chapter and
Merit Award for Media and Public Relations has been given.

This has been a dream of ours since our charter in 2016, and we couldn't
be more proud to have realized it after six years. As we stood stronger
together last year, we are now in our next #LevelUp in our journey as Del
Pilar Family.

1st General Membership Meeting

The 1st General Membership was conducted last July 30, 2022, and
despite the rains that weekend, attendees had a worthwhile
meeting. Mostly participating in meaningful discussions to
#LevelUp upcoming chapter activities.

Newly elected Chapter President, Bernard Anthony R. Vitan after

expressing appreciation to members and advisers, conducted the
meeting with enthusiasm and a well-prepared list of agendas.

Topics of discussion were the CSO Renewal, Board Resolution No. 1:

BCS Signatories, Digitalization of Chapter and IAPOA Dues,
Activities for August, and other matters such as the A2a Joint
Induction, Media Team Training, Souvenir Book Update, and the
Application of New Members.

The meeting was concluded by welcoming the new chapter

members, Ar. Aldrin Amurao, Ar. Francis Larry Rosario, and Ar. Sofia
Nicole Santos. Another awesome GMM of the Del Pilar Family. Until

2nd General Membership Meeting
KAROZZA GARDEN RESTAURANT, BRGY. BULIHAN, MALOLOS CITY, BULACAN

The 2nd General Membership Meeting with 34 members and 8 guests was conducted on August 27, 2022 at
Karozza Garden Restaurant Brgy. Bulihan, Malolos City, Bulacan.

Chapter President Ar. Bernard Anthony R. Vitan presented the UAPSA BulSU Chapter Officers, led by their
Chapter President Tristan Gene de Luna, who have chosen Del Pilar as their Mother Chapter for the Academic
Year 2022-2023. UAPSA BulSU will be working hand in hand in the activities of the chapter towards our #LevelUp
journey as Del Pilar Family.

Gabaldon Schoolhouses
DepEd's Preserving Heritage and Patrimony

In recognition of the importance in the history of

Philippine education, the Department of Education
launched a conservation book about protecting and
preserving the heritage of the Gabaldon Schoolhouses
on August 29, 2022.

Two of Del Pilar Chapter’s respected members: Joel V.

Rico, FPIA and Robert Benedict C. Hermoso, FUAP,
served as consultants for the conservation book. They
led the inspection and documentation of the Gabaldon
Buildings.

Del Pilar Chapter is truly proud to have members, who

promote the profession, in their endeavor to raise the
awareness of the importance of the architects in the
restoration and preservation of Gabaldon buildings in
the country.

Bayanihang Arkitektura
BRIGADA ESKWELA 2022

BRIGADA ESKWELA is a yearly DepEd activity in which the

UAP Del Pilar Chapter participates. The two schools that
have benefited from paint donations provided by our
industry partner Davies Paints are Sto. Cristo Elementary
School and Caniogan Elementary School.

In close collaboration with the UAP Student Auxiliary

(UAPSA) BulSU Chapter, the paints were presented to the
school principals: Mr. Dionisio E. Manumbas Jr. and Mrs.
Marichu Capule Manaloto, respectively.

Additionally, UAP Del Pilar has committed to updating

the mural walls of Caniogan ES with infographics about
Disaster Risk Reduction Management. Architects Joanna
Bulan and Angela Crisostomo created the approved
designs.

In the following days, members from both the UAP Del

Pilar Bulacan Chapter and UAPSA-Bulsu worked together
to #LevelUp a colorful and informative mural wall for the
school community of Caniogan ES.

UAP Induction Ceremonies of Commission on Professional Practice

PDD Ar. Ardel Santos, FUAP attended the UAP Commission of Professional Practice Induction Ceremonies as
Chairperson of Professional Practice for Government Services for FY 2022-2023 held at the UAP National Headquarters
on September 10, 2022.

With him are PP Ar. Lady Fatima Santiago-Cruz and BOD Ar. Camille Roque as members of his committee as they step-up with
other colleagues to serve with the UAP national office. The Del Pilar family charging on again to #LevelUp for
FY 2022-2023.
