I. DISCUSSION POINTS

A. Preliminaries
1. The post conference started at 2:45 PM and ended at 3:30 PM.
2. According to Mr. Mark Benedick Chavez, the earthquake drill lasted for 6
minutes and 6 seconds.
B. Discussion Proper
1. The discussion was categorized into two main significant points:
a. Focusing on the positive observations and strengths of the activity;
and
b. Highlighting areas for improvements and suggestions for enhancing
the drill.

POSITIVE OBSERVATIONS AND STRENGTHS OF THE DRILL

Compared to the previous drills done, the currently concluded earthquake
1 drill was faster and more organized. Mr. Norberto Puda rated the drill 8 out of
10 being the highest.
2 Lesser casualties were reported.
3 Facilities were quite improved like the use of megaphones, whistles and vest.
There was a well presentation of committees involved and good coordination

was observed.
5 The implementation of color-coding system was effective.
6 Students were well-behaved and easier to pacify
The rigid preparation and planning worked out and the initial presentation of
7 the SDRRM during the recent Professional Learning Community session held
last September 4, 2023 helped a lot for the information dissemination.
Signages such as the numbered steps were properly numbered and readable

enough.
Parents’ coordination and participation were also observed and appreciated
9
by the group

OTHER SUGGESTIONS
1. Improve sound system with the use of power bank in case of electricity
failure.

2. Use walkie-talkie and additional megaphones.

3. There must be consistency in the signages entrance and exit to condition the
students.
4. Use the center of the oval because staying in the track is hazardous with the
presence of the roof below the bleachers.
5. Electing of class officers might be of help in involving students in the drill.
6. Consistent practice of the basics (duck, cover and hold) during home Room
classes.
 Mrs. Camilon suggested: duck, cover, hold and pray
7. Seating arrangement is hazardous for the exit of the students.
 Create a system in using both classroom doors.

With no further things to discuss, the conference ended at 03:45 PM.
