Session At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
Objectives: a) Add integers;
b) Subtract integers;
c) Multiply integers; and
d) Divide integers
Key Concepts: Addition
 Rule 1. When adding like signs, add the absolute value
and copy their sign.
 Rule 2. When adding unlike sign, subtract the absolute
value and copy the sign of the larger number.
Subtraction
 Change the sign of the subtrahend and proceed to
addition.
Multiplication and Division
 A positive number times/divide a positive number
equals a positive number.
 A positive number times/divide a negative number
equals a negative number.
 A negative number times/divide a positive number
equals a negative number.
 A negative number times/divide a negative number
equals a positive number.

Materials: Activity Sheet, ballpen and crayons

Activity: Finding the value
 The students will find the value of each expression
by adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing
the given integers. Then they will color each space
containing an answer to reveal a hidden picture.
