POSTER MAKING

Mechanics and Guidelines:

1. Open to all bona-fide education students of Liceo de Masbate Colleges.

2. The poster shall be an original creation with the theme: “Empowering Minds: Igniting the
Spark of Knowledge.”

3. During the contest proper the following materials will be used:

• 1/8 size illustration board (to be provided by the contestants).

• Coloring materials, marker, ruler, pencil (to be provided by the contestants).

4. Each entry should be finished within 2 hours.

5. There will be three winners for the contest: 3rd, 2nd, and 1st.

SLOGAN MAKING

Mechanics and Guidelines:

1. Open to all bona-fide education students of Liceo de Masbate Colleges.

2. The slogan shall be an original creation with the theme: “Empowering Minds: Igniting the
Spark of Knowledge.”

3. During the contest proper the following materials will be used:

• 1/8 size white cartolina (to be provided by the contestants).

• Coloring materials, marker, ruler, pencil (to be provided by the contestants).

4. Each entry should be finished within 2 hours

5. There will be three winners for the contest.

ESSAY WRITING

Mechanics and Guidelines

1. Open to all bona-fide education student of Liceo de Masbate Colleges.

2. The participants are free to choose his or her own topic as long as it is related to the theme:
Empowering Minds: Igniting the Spark of Knowledge.

3. The participants will be given 1 hour and 30 minutes to write and finish their essay.

4. There will be two (2) categories: English and Filipino.

5. The participants shall be provided a bondpaper marked with assigned number by the contest
master.

6. No printed materials, electronic gadgets, or storage devices shall be utilized.

7. All entries must be original.

POEM WRITING

Mechanics and Guidelines:

1. Open to all bona-fide education students of Liceo de Masbate Colleges.

2. There will be two categories: English and Filipino

3. The participants have the freedom to choose his or her own topic as long as it is related to the
theme: Empowering minds: Igniting the Spark of Knowledge.

4. Each piece should be finished within 1 hour and 30 minutes.

5. The participants shall be provided a bondpaper marked with assigned number by the contest
master.

6. No printed materials, electronic gadgets, or storage devices shall be utilized.

7. All entries must be original.

SPOKEN WORD POETRY

Mechanics and Guidelines:

1. Open to all bona-fide education students of Liceo de Masbate Colleges.

2. Every major should have at least (1) representative.

3. The piece must not contain any malicious and offensive content.

4. The piece shall be related to education.

5. The spoken word poetry must be an original composition. It shall be written in Filipino
medium.

6. Sounds, instruments or musical background is allowed to complement the delivery. No

deduction shall be made if the contestant opts to have musical background.

7. Each competitor will have a maximum of 3-5 minutes to perform their composition.

MONOLOGUE

Mechanics and Guidelines:

• Open to all bona-fide education students of Liceo de Masbate Colleges with at least 1
participant each major.

• Each participant will perform a monologue on a specific theme or topic.

• The piece must not contain any malicious and offensive content.

• The monologue must be an original composition. It shall be written in English medium.

• Sounds, instruments or musical background is allowed to complement the delivery. No

deduction shall be made if the contestant opts to have musical background.

• Each competitor will have a maximum of 3-5 minutes to perform their composition.

• Participants are encouraged to choose monologues that showcase depth, emotion, relevance to
educational themes.
QUIZ BEE: VOYAGE OF THE GENIUS

Mechanics and Guidelines:

A. Open to all bona-fide education students of Liceo de Masbate Colleges with each majors
forming a team of four (4) members.

B. The contest will comprise three rounds: Easy, Average, Difficult.

Categories:

 Prof Ed
 Gen Ed

C. The coverage of the quiz bee will be from the LET Exams.

D. Contestants are required to arrive at the competition venue 10 minutes before the scheduled
start time. Immediate disqualification will be enforced for the contestants who arrived 5 minutes
after the scheduled start time.

E. The Committee will address any questions or concerns about the competition rules before the
contest begins.

IMPROMPTU SPEECH

Mechanics and guidelines:

1. Open to all bona-fide education students of Liceo de Masbate Colleges with at least 1
representative from each major.

2. The topic will be given on the spot by the judges.

3. The judges shall give topics related to the theme.

4. The contestants shall be given (5) minutes to deliver.

5. The contestants are not allowed to have any gadgets.

6. The contest master is accountable to the sanctification of the competition.

7. There will be a 1-point deduction for every 30-second overtime from the respective judges’
total score before determining the rank of the contestants.

8. The style of the delivery shall be conversational, oratorical or a combination of both.

EXTEMPORANEOUS SPEECH

Mechanics and guidelines:

1. Open to all bona-fide education students of Liceo de Masbate Colleges with at least 1
representative from each major.

2. The topic will be given on the spot by the judges.

3. The judges shall give topics prior to the start of the competition related to the theme.

4. The contestants shall be given (5) minutes to prepare and (5) minutes to deliver.

5. The contestants are not allowed to have any gadgets.

6. The contest master is accountable to the sanctification of the competition.

DEMO-TEACHING CONTEST

Mechanics and Guidelines:

• The contest is open to all bona-fide education students of Liceo de Masbate Colleges.

• Each major should have at least (1) representative.

• Each participant will be given the freedom to choose their learning competencies.

• The duration of the demo teaching session will be 25 minutes.

• Participants are encouraged to use multimedia, interactive activities, and engaging teaching
methods to deliver their lesson.

• A panel of qualified judges, including educators and education professionals, will evaluate the
participants based on the judging criteria.
