GUIDELINES FOR

UDAAN

Quiz
1. Each team can have maximum of 4 participants

2. The quiz will be of 45 minutes duration.

3. In case the number of teams registering for quiz are more, an


objective type screening test may be conducted.

4. The questions will be in the form of multiple choice, true/false


statement, specific-answer type etc.

5. Replacement of any participant after registration is not


allowed.
Debate
1. Topics would be provided on the spot related to
dentistry.

2. 5 minutes preparation time for each team.

3. Time limit for the debate is 1-2 minutes.

4. 4 participants per team.

5. The decision of the judges will be final.


Work Model

1. Participants can either make their own model or get the model from their own
college.
2. Incase of College models,participants must take permission from the
respective departments for the same.
3. Participants are requested to take care of their models, if any loss or Damage
management will not be responsible.
4. Participants can take their model back once the competition is over.
5. Min 1 and Max 3 students can participate per model
6. 3 mins of time slot will be given for presentation and 2 mins for the viva.
SINGING
1. Singing Time allotted for each performance is 2-3 minutes.
2. Participants will not be allowed to refer to the lyrics while
singing.
3. The participants will be judged on the vocal range, vocal
quality, clarity, rhythm and their stage presence.
4. The participants should bring their own musical instruments if
required in the performance
5. Choice of song is open to the participants but the song should
not have any slangs or derogatory language.
6. Participants should reach venue at least 1 hour prior before
their performance.
7. Participants are requested to take care of their belongings, if
any loss management will not be responsible.
Dance
1.A soft copy and a hard copy of audio is to be submitted one week before the
competition.

2.Participants are requested to carry a copy of audio to the event for a safer side.
Costumes are to be managed by students.

3.Choice of song is open to the participants but the song should not have any
slangs or derogatory language.

4.The participants will be judged on Choreography, Costumes, Synchronization,


Energy, Expressions and following bases.

5.Any kind of vulgarity is prohibited and won’t be tolerated.

6.Participants should reach venue at least 1 hour prior before their performance.
Solo Dance
1. 1st - 100 points
2. 2nd – 50 points
3. 3rd - 25 points
4. Maximum entries: No Limit.
5. Categories- 1 Indian & 1 Western.
6. English songs for western and Hindi songs for Indian dance.
7. Categories- INDIAN & FREE STYLE
8. No classical or folk songs are allowed.
9. Time limit is 2+1 minutes.
10. Props allowed.
11. Participants must bring their own song in Pen drive. Pendrive should
be handed over to the sound desk 60 min, before the performance.
Duet Dance
1. 1st - 200 points
2. 2nd – 100 points
3. 3rd - 50 points
4. Categories -Indian/Western (FUSION ALLOWED)
5. Time limit is 2+1 minutes.
6. Props allowed.
7. Participants must bring their own song in Pen drive.
8. Pen drive should be handed over to the sound desk
60 min, before the performance.
Group Dance
1. 1st - 300 points
2. 2nd – 150 points
3. 3rd - 75 points
4. Categories- INDIAN & FREESTYLE
5. No classical or folk songs are allowed
6. Time limit is 3 + 2 minutes.
7. 8 - 15 members in each group.
8. Participants must bring their own song in Pen drive.
MAD ADS
1. Mad Ads Topics would be provided on the spot.
2. 6 participants per team.
3. 5 minutes preparation time for each team.
4. Time limit for the performing the advertisement is 1-2 minutes.
5. Participants shall be judged on the basis of spontaneity,
content, adherence to the topic, on-stage presentation,
coordination and overall appeal of the advertisement.

FASHION SHOW- THEME
BOLLYWOOD
1. Time allotted for each performance is 08-14 minutes.
2. Participants should follow the theme compulsory. Maximum of 15-20
participants in a team.
3. A soft copy and a hard copy of audio is to be submitted 7 days prior before
event.
4. Participants are requested to carry a copy of audio to the event for a safer
side.
5. Choice of song is open to the participants but the song should not have any
slangs or derogatory language.
6. The participants will be judged on Outfit, Fashion, Stage Confidence, Team
coordination, expressions and following bases
7. Participants should reach venue at least 1 hour prior before their performance.
PAPER PRESENTATION
1. No abstract submission to be done prior, participants can directly get their
respective paper in the pen drive directly on the day of the competition.

2. Presentations can be submitted under 2 categories- Student and Doctors.


Student category is for undergraduate students and interns. Doctors include
post graduate students, faculties and practitioners.

3. Presentations can be made under any of these categories: clinical, research


and general.

4. The presenter has to specific the type of presentation in the prescribed format
(for example:- clinical/research/innovative)

5. Each registered delegate can submit only one scientific abstract.


6. The presenter should adhere to the time limit for presentation

7. All oral presentations will be for a duration of 5 minutes followed by a discussion of 2


minutes.

8. File format should be PowerPoint [.PPT]

9. Only Single screen multimedia projectors will be provided for presentation.

10. The official language of the meeting and all communication must be in English.

11. No commercial products endorsement will be permitted

12. There shall be only 5 best papers selected for 1st, 2nd and 3rd position.

13. The decision of the judges shall be final


POSTER PRESENTATION
1. No abstract submission to be done prior, participants can directly get their
respective poster in the pen drive directly on the day of the competition.

2. Presentations can be submitted under 2 categories- Student and Doctors.

3. Student category is for undergraduate students and interns. Doctors include


post graduate students, faculties and practitioners.

4. Presentations can be made under any of these categories: clinical, research


and general.

5. The presenter has to specify the type of presentation in the prescribed format
(for example:- clinical/research/innovative/)

6. Poster title must be less than 10 words and express the topic’s essence

7. Poster shall not include any indication of the personal details of authors.
8. Do not submit on-going studies, or abstract with incomplete
result or conclusion

9. Submissions will be rejected if the above rules are not met.

10. The file should be in PNG, JPEG format (preferably).

11. The file should be more than 7 MB and less than 15 MB in


size (if submitting 2 images, the combine size of 2 images
should be less than 15 MB).

12. The file should be in landscape format (preferably).

13. One minimum and three maximum students can participate.
