Project Title FMP: Short Film
Section 1: Review (Approx 100 words)
In the beginning of this course, I was not good at recording sound with a
boom pole and other basic filmmaking skills. However, throughout the
different projects I have learnt Editing skills with premiere pro (the first
project) as I edited the documentary. And sound recording (the second
project) I believe that after learning all this I now have the skills to record the
sound for our film “the retributor”. Things I have done to further my skills in
sound recording was via workshops in which we learnt different skills and
the skill that I have really homed in on is both editing which is an art within
itself and sound recording which is arguably the most vital part of making
anything
Section 2: Project Concept (approx 200 words)
The short film for our FMP is going to be an action film under the title
“Adrenaline”. its going to follow the story of a man who was wrongly
imprisoned for 5 years and vows revenge to the people who put him in there.
This film is inspired by films such as Nobody’s fight scenes and John Wick’s
cinematography essentially a man who used to fight is brought back into said
world after something happens. We are going to be putting fight scenes we
will achieve this with the use of action choreography and an old western style
stand-off inspired by films cinematography (shots) like in the quick and the
dead and the good the bad and the ugly. The equipment needed to help tell
our story fluidly is Sony x70 camera as well as shoulder mounts and dolly
track. Our main point of the story will be to teach that revenge is never worth
it and always ends badly to achieve this the main character will die alongside
the person who sent him to prison.
Section 3: Evaluation (approx 50 words)
To record my progress throughout this project I will be using Weebly which is an
online journal/blogging site this could include research and workshops to help and
support my growing idea I am doing weekly reflections. I am also receiving ongoing
feedback from my tutors and regular production meetings with my peers and tutor.
