LETTER OF EXCUSE

I write to humbly requesting that you excuse me from school duties as a teacher effective from
Monday 22nd January 2024.

The reason for this excuse is to see and help care for my father in the village at Masimera Chiefdom,
Port Loko District who is said to be seriously sick and is being hospitalized presently.

I have taken the necessary steps to ensure that my responsibilities will be adequately covered
during my absence as I have contacted Mr. James a colleague teacher to assist in teaching my
allotted classes/periods during my absence. I have also made sure that all the teaching materials
(notes) are readily available to him.

Moreover, I have also informed Mr. James about the specific needs and requirements of my classes
to ensure a smooth transition and minimal disruption to the students’ learning process.

I understand the impact that a teacher’s absence can have on the educational process and have thus
made every effort to mitigate any potential issues.

I appreciate your understanding and support regarding this matter and am available to discuss any
concerns or further details you may require.
