At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
A. develop understanding of the working definition of social literacy;
B. explain the roles of parents and teachers in teaching social skills to children;
and
C. discuss and examine issues in social literacy

Title: Charades

C. Lesson Proper
1. Activity
• The teacher will divide the class into two groups. The teacher will let
the students play the game “charades”. The following words contains
the concept of social literacy.
2. Analysis
• The teacher will let the students describe or relate the concept of
social literacy through the words used in the game “charades”.
3. Abstraction
• The teacher will discuss concept of social literacy and ask the
students to say something about the roles of parents and teachers in
teaching social skills to children. “Social literacy concerns itself with
the development of social skills, knowledge and positive human
values that enable human beings to act positively in range of
complex social settings”.
4. Application:
• The teacher will let the students make a slogan about social literacy,
then they will present it in a creative way. Some of the students will
present their slogan and explain it briefly.

IV. Evaluation:
• The teacher will gave a 20 item quiz to the students that serves as
an assessment to the learnings of the students.

Directions: Get ½ crosswise paper, write the date today, subject, and don’t
forget to write your name. For the first part of the quiz, please
choose the correct answer from the choices/answers inside the box
and write it on your paper. For the second part, write true if the
statement is correct and false if the statement is incorrect.

V. Assignment
• In a one whole sheet of paper, write the importance of social literacy.
