SEMI DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN

PHYSICAL EDUCATION 2

Content Standard: Demonstrates understanding of body shapes and body actions


in preparation for various movement activities.

Performance Standard: Performs body shapes and actions properly.

Learning Competency: Creates body shapes and actions.

I. Objectives:

At the end of the lesson the student should be able to:

 Identify body shapes and actions.


 Performs body shapes and actions properly.
 Show active participation in each activities.

II. Subject Matter:

Topic: Body Shapes and Actions

Reference: Melcs

Materials: Cartolina, Marker, Print Pictures

III. Procedure;

A. Preparatory Activities

 Checking of Attendance
 Review

Motivation

The teacher will present a video entitled “My Toes My Knees Song” and let
the students watch the video because after watching the video we will sing the song
altogether. If you know the song you can sing with me if not just do the actions.
Activity: Mirror revision on the wall

Directions: Look at this picture and you will demonstrate the hand and feet
movements. Ask the students to get partners.

Analysis:

 What can you say about the movements?


 What different shapes were formed with bodies?
 What body parts were used to forms the shapes?

Abstraction:

 The teacher will discuss the lesson.

BODY SHAPES AND ACTIONS


- Are the different body positions and actions that you can do while standing,
kneeling, and sitting.

Examples of Body Shapes and Actions

Straight – you do this body shape when you extend your body limbs (arms and
legs)
Curl – you do this body shape when you form your body into a curved or spiral
shape.
Wide – you do this body shape when you extend your body parts from original
position to occupy the wide space.
Twists – you do this body shape when you turn a part of your body to form a curl
or spiral shape while the body shape while the rest of the body is fixed.
Application:

Merry Go Round
The activity is called the Merry Go Round because you have to move around in a
clockwise manner after doing the task in each station. The teacher will divide the
class into four groups.

Direction: Perform the activity at every station while singing Twinkle, Twinkle
Little Star. At the end of the song, transfer to the next station using the required
movement until you finish the four stations.

Station 1 – Form a circle with your arms raised upward

Station 2 – Form a square with your arms sideward

Station 3 – Form a triangle with your arms placed in front

Station 4 – Form a diamond with your arms in front

Guide Question:

 What shape did you able to form?


 What movement did you use in travelling from one station to another?
