4. Procedure:
Let the children sing a song, “Head, shoulders, Knees and Toes”

4.1 Introductory Activity (2 Say: All of us are blessed by God of different body parts that we

Show: Show the different move that we can do with our body
parts ( Walk, Stand, Lift, Push or pull, etc.)

Present a picture to the class. Let the students identify the body
parts starting from the head down to the feet.

4.2 Activity/Strategy (15 min).

Read to the learners the name of each part that is written on a


flashcard and let them connect the word to the part of the body
shown in the picture.
Discuss the division of the body in the context of Physical
Education: Head, trunk, upper extremities and lower extremities.
Let the learners describe the head, shoulders, neck, waist, arms
etc.
And have them identify the movements they can do using these
parts.
Do: Prepare and show to the class the following: ball, things
inside the classroom and a music (MP3). Arrange the objects /
materials for the activity
Say: Class, I want you to stand up and take your position within
the boundary of our classroom. Please form a straight line.
(Guide the learners in forming their lines).
Do: Play the music. Now, let the learners walk and move around
without bumping at each other picking up things they see around.
Say: When the music starts, you need to walk clockwise and start
picking up the things you see on the floor, you should only stop
when the music stop playing. Once the music play again, you
have to release the things you have picked and then shake/ rotate
your head. You should only stop shaking when the music stop.
(Teacher can vary instructions to emphasize on different body
movements.)

Let the learners listen to the instruction whether to move in


clockwise or counterclockwise, diagonal, etc.
Do: Show to class the pictures of the different parts of the body
and ask questions.

4.3 Analysis (5 min).

ASK: What part of the body is being shown in the picture? – feet
In the activity, what is the use of your feet? -- to walk

What part of the body is shown on the second picture? –


hands
In the activity we had, what is the use of your hands? – to
pick /hold things

What part is shown on the second picture?- head


What movement did you do to your head? --- rotate/shake

What other things you can do using your body? --- answers

Show other pictures to the class and let them state and the
movements they can do using these parts.
Ask: Can anyone show to us the movements we can do using the
parts shown on the picture?

Do: Group the pupils into 2-3 groups. Let them create their own
movements for the song. Give them 5 minutes to work on this
