QUICK REFERENCE DOCUMENT

The exam has 2 papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2.

1. The papers are for 1 Hour 10 minutes each

2. Each paper is 50 marks
3. Each paper has 2 sections: Section A Comprehension
and Section B Writing Skills
4. For both papers Comprehension has an attached
unseen passage; based on which questions will have
to be answered.
5. For both comprehension sections it is necessary to
answer to the point and allowed to answer in one word
or a phrase.
 6. Learners have to be very particular about reading the
comprehension questions with great detail and answer
only as per the expectations of the question.
7. In the writing skills section in both papers the most
important part is to understand the expectations of the
question and answer the question as per the given
instructions/bullet points.
8. Follow the word count closely.
9. REMEMBER ALL THE FORMATS OF Article, Newspaper
report, speech, Narrative writing, descriptive writing,
letter writing and other directed writing formats
covered in class.

Section A needs a lot of attention to reading the passage

correctly and finding the right answer.

Section B needs attention to following the format as well as

following the bullet points
