 Visualizing division of numbers up to 100 by 2 , 5 and 10.
 Represent the relationship of multiplication and division by 2, 5, and 10 through the use of the
multiplication or division table, manipulatives, drawings, and other visual strategies.
 Apply division facts for 2,5 and 10 with other operations through solving a series of routine and
nonroutine story problems.
Transfer Goals: Students on their own and in the long run will be able to:
 Use multiplication or division tables, drawings, and number lines to solve division problems.
Multiplication facts can also help them check their answer if it is correct. Knowing different
strategies in solving division problems will help them know which strategy is more appropriate for a
given problem.

EXPLORE  Have the learners bring out 12 blocks, pebbles, or any counters.
 Ask them to equally group the blocks into 2. Observe how they do it.
 Ask the learners, “How many objects are in each group?”
 Ask how they get their answers.

FIRM-UP  Recall the parts of a division sentence.


 Present the illustration and the complete division sentence.
 Present the inverse expressions of the given.
 Solving Routine and Nonroutine Story Problems Using Division Facts of 2, 5
and 10.

GRASP
 They will play a shopping game. In this activity, they will divide the
given budget by the price to know how many items they can

dividing numbers using different strategies.
