 Visualizes and orders numbers up to 1000 in increasing or decreasing order.
 Identify the ascending and descending order.
 Accuracy in ordering numbers from least to greatest and vice versa.

Transfer Goals: Students on their own and in the long run will be able to:
 Help them better understand the value of the numbers. They can also use this in real-life situations,
such as ranking scores, arranging money, and buying items.

(Day 1)

EXPLORE MOTIVATION
 Present a table of the total number of active COVID-19 cases in some
cities in Metro Manila.
 Ask the learners to arrange the cities from the lowest to the highest
number of active COVID cases.

FIRM-UP  Arranging Numbers in Increasing Order


 Say, “Let us check if you correctly arranged the number of active
COVID-19 cases from lowest to highest.”
 Present to the learners the given examples using the number line and
say, “Increasing order means the numbers are arranged from least to
greatest.”
 Present the given numbers and steps in arranging numbers in
increasing order.

(Day 2)
 Arranging Numbers in Decreasing Order
 Present the following numbers and ask the learners, “How are we going
to arrange the numbers in decreasing order?”
 Present to the learners the example and say, “Decreasing order means
the numbers are arranged from greatest to least.”
 Present the given numbers and the steps to the learners.
